I'd be willing to bet their inventory system & point of sale machines were not set up with the items that got ordered. Once that guy told his manager what he did he was probably coached on how much work that was going to be just to get them in the system, all to pocket maybe 30% of your transaction. The guy probably had no idea they weren't already in the system & figured it would be as easy as scanning them & taking your money. Idk, could be an honest mistake / learning opportunity. Maybe he was sour towards you today due to the extensive ass chewing he got? Who knows. But I wouldn't write off the whole store just yet. Send me your $500 if you're itching to get rid of it

I bought a bottle and really didn't like it at first. Thought it was going to be a drain pour. So I left it alone for a month (or 2) and went back to it. It was pretty damned tasty! Enough so that I want to get another bottle. For me it just needed some time to breathe...

My money has a place to go.. don't worry about that...

And I appreciate the point of view. I've chilled and am moving on.

I feel like the bar tender guy is going to call out the dude anyways so I don't really need to do anything. When I go back I'll make it known to him that I know he's not the manager if I have to deal with him.. but I suspect even that won't be necessary.

Thank you everyone for your advice!

It is indeed. If you enjoy Irish whiskey, which I do, then definitely.

    Loaded question

    Regular Jameson... Hard pass...
Jameson black barrel I can do.

Not much experience in Irish whiskies. Might have to roll the dice.

Honestly, this one isn't much of a gamble. It's good.

Had my first ever pour of Bookers, and it made me realize I desperately need to get a bottle.

Drinking 4R CS oesv after finishing a JD virtual tasting (Gold 27, SiB, SiB BS, SiB Rye, and taster's collection Cabernet). For you JD fans out there: the rep JD ambassador leading the tasting told us that a Barrel Strength SiB Rye will be available shortly on a limited basis.
    20200702_195954.jpg

Minor unicorn alert: I stumbled across BT Kosher Wheat and Rye recipes (no straight rye available) this morning online. $39.99 each which I think is retail. I was looking at something else someone had linked from Facebook at the exact time they were listed on the same site. Got 2 of each. Sold out in less than 5 minutes. Now I'm thinking I shoulda bought all 6 of each. No pics yet. Picking up tomorrow.
