Because these are all Texas whiskies that I procured in Texas. I just moved here to Idaho. I'll make an Idaho shelf as I get more Idaho booze. I've got a few bottles so far but need more to justify needing a shelf for 'em.

Edit: I made my Texas shelf as my covid project last spring back in Mont Belvieu

    Thanks!!!

In a nutshell... more shit to do outside over here. Instead of driving 10 hours just to get out of Texas now I'm skiing after work and hiking mountain trails over my lunch break. I miss a lot about my home state, but I'm excited to settle down up here. Plus Moab is now a 6 hour drive. Grand Canyon 8 hours, Grand Tetons/Yellowstone 3 hours, and most importantly it's fucking far away from Houston

State run liquor stores have their pros and cons as well... at least I can easily get my beloved ECBP fairly regularly here

Dude, my wife and I have been thinking about the same thing. Moving out of Texas to be closer to the outdoors.

Man, I need to open mine. I told my brother in law that I'd pop it wherever he comes to visit us up here. He needs to hurry!

Tonight’s pour while warming the grill. I’m loving this for sure.

I don't think that is from their annual lottery. For the lottery you have to sign up and rank the bottles you want, plus you have to be a Grand Reserve member. I used to be one but slipped back to just Reserve. I got the same email you did. Looks like they are doing something new for members who are at least Reserve?
