I might have to try some Old Forrester...there's a lot in here lately.

 

I know! Highest proof in my collection for sure, I also have a bottle of Old Forester 1910 and 1920 that I'm waiting to open, heard a lot of good things about 1920

 

Ardbeg single malt Scotch. Although tonight, I'll be having Taylor & Fladgate 20 yr tawny port. Maybe some Smithwick's amber ale once that runs out.

 

This bottle has avoided me many times, starting to hate seeing pictures of it

 

should have brought back a case of this gin. Juniper berries instead of pine makes it so much better

 

Great question. The boiler makers and I asked my contact that, joking around, said that is not for sale.

Finishing my first dram of Japanese, getting ready to reload...

 

I was lucky enough to try those three Weller’s over the weekend. Very pleased with all three.

 

A recent haul. Gave me a good reason to finish off a 1/4 bottle of Blanton's I've been staring at for the last couple of months.

 

On a whistle pig kick right now… the other pic well it’s just a bonus.

 

Let me know what you think of that Willet pot still. I tried one many years ago and it had a taste of pickle juice. Had to drain pour it. I've been told the distillation and production has changed and it's a different animal now. If so, I'd like to give it another chance. Cool bottle anyways.

 

So far I've had one pour of the Willet. The nose reminds me of Bottled in Bond 1792.
And on the pallet it tastes like a combination of Mitchter's and 1792. Good heat with a fair amount of Almonds, Honey and Oak.
Overall a very pleasing pour. As of now, definitely a keeper.

Basically it's a single barrel 100 proof 10 year old Buffalo Trace. Some say it may be the same mash bill as Blanton's.
