Have you had the toasted yet? It’s in my favorite store and I almost picked it up today.

I have not my buddy @MattJakobs said it’s good and I should get em so I did. I’ll be opening it here in a bit. What were they asking for it at your store?

It’s good but overhyped. Only buy at retail imo.

Ya there’s not too many things I would pay over retail for. I have a good relationship with my local BevMo and they hook it up pretty regularly for me.

Whatever retail is, all their prices are good. I wasn’t buying it so I didn’t look unfortunately.

My score yesterday. Honestly I’ve never had it, but I’ve heard very good things from friends and online reviews. Scrapped the fancy box as soon as I got home but didn’t have time to open it. This weekend for sure. Anyone have any thoughts on Rebel 10yr?

Well than…. It’s a Wheater…. Better get it on your list! It’s roots trace back to Weller…. Luxco now now though.

Think of this if you can find a bottle it’s a 10yr old Wheated bourbon lol…. Might be easier to find than 107 probably for less money due to Weller markup.

Interesting…I read the mash bill is comparable to old Weller. 20% wheat! Would love to hear how that is.

Rebel's regular wheated bourbon is a pretty good sipper if you don't mind a thick mouthfeel. On the sweeter side for sure.

    Never had the 10 year.

A couple counties over, the ABC announced on short notice that they were getting an allocation of 36 bottles of Buffalo Trace and 6 bottles of Blanton’s per store. I immediately rushed down and got to the nearest store almost an hour before opening. There were already six people in line for Blanton’s. I decided not to wait for the BT which I have plenty of.

Got back in my truck and drove home, tail between my legs. Wasn’t about to go to more stores and be disappointed again.

That has to be one of my top 5 bourbons of all time. Working on my 2nd bottle of it since I first saw it 1996. Heaven Hill just dropped some at their distillery this past Tuesday. I was lucky enough to get my father and his wife to go down and pick me up 2 bottles of it. Now I just need to find time to go back to KY and pick them up from him.

Added some Knob 9, cask strength MM, and Johnnie Walker Gold to the cabinet this morning. Felt like it.

The Maker’s cask strength is my new favorite.

The other wheated bourbon I very much want to try is Larceny.

I will regret passing up a bottle of larceny BP for a while because I thought I had already bought too much

Alright…. Neck poor of the Rebel 10yr SiB. Keep in mind this is after going to dinner and having a few very hazy citrus forward IPA’s so that may be affecting my tasting. This seems to have a ton of ethanol, cherry and fruit in the nose, taste stays with the nose, fruit, cherries, vanilla and cinnamon. Not a lot of burn, great mouthfeel, thick and rich. Very enjoyable overall. I like it initially and I’ve heard it opens up more than it’s a few weeks of air. I’ve only had a few sips but so far it’s very good.
