for cheap Heaven Hill I like JTS Brown. Up front it tastes like a good bourbon. Then it finishes like crap. Which sometimes makes it seem like it's a higher proof. I refill my empty Bookers with JTS and serve it to my friends. "Hey guys, make sure you finish off that nice ass bottle on the right!"

Such a different bottle though right? High proof, different flavor profile…

Better in every way. Buffalo trace is mid shelf whisky, only hot because you can’t buy it. Now I’m not saying it’s bad bourbon I’ve definitely killed too many bottles of it but it’s not worth the hype And chasing for a $20 bottle. It’s a fine pour but yes different bottle all together. I still buy my BT for $23, and i will continue to but i certainly wouldn’t chase it with other options out there.

I personally think BT is the best value on the market, meaning it’s the best $25 bottle I can buy.

Tons of better stuff out there, but gotta pay for it.

I'm getting on that train with you. At the price point, IMO it's better than about anything else you can get.

Yea for $25 bucks it’s a damn fine bottle. No doubt! I was only commenting on the people who chase and over pay for a $20
Bottle because it’s BT. I’ll always have a bottle in the cabinet as long as I can pay MSRP

Yeah I’m with you. The secondary markups on everything Buffalo Trace puts out are absurd.

I’m glad you wrote that. I was checking and would have posted myself but I’ll leave the repost for another thread.

My local grocery store had single barrel Elijah Craig for $23 so yeah, that's what I'm sipping tonight.

They probably have 50 bottles available. Just like buffalo trace, out here that stuff is everywhere. I wish I could find what you guys get as easily!
