Favorite Whiskey?

I see that sometimes in stores here, I just stopped going. I have the same 3 I visit in SC, and 3 when I cross over into GA. Still pretty much guaranteed to pay more than retail, but a reasonable amount

 

Sadly Wilmington is not a great Whiskey area - and they just changed the shipping laws so I cant even get bottles through my bourbon club anymore.

You can find eagle rare if you ask (they hide it behind the counter) and for everything else they have special release days and about 200 people line up at 6am for bottles of standard BT. The bright side is if you do find something, it is close to MSRP as the state controls pricing.

If you want to try any other liquors - highly recommend checking out End of Days distillery - their whiskey is young but everything else is great!

I used to visit Wilmington a lot when I lived in Virginia. I’ll actually be back there for the first time in probably 4 years or so, later this month.
I remember the store off Wrightsville Ave having a pretty good selection

If I want to drink something "local" I get "Willie's" in the Bighorn or Huckleberry Sweat Cream variety.

 

I drink Four Roses. Good on its own or in a cocktail.

Woah that's a burny one

 

Nothing specifically, just haven't seen any in my area and I'd like to snag others if they have it

 

I forgot I was supposed to be switching my weekly Bourbon hunts to Friday’s lunch break. Still, found an Eagle Rare at the hole in the wall ABC store that always seems to have it and my Four Roses SiB was almost gone so I snagged this one since it was the last one on the shelf.

 

Man down!

 

My two pours this evening, long day I guess haha. EHT Single Barrel first, then BT on ice. May have to start lining up a EHT replacement, haven’t seen that around here lately…
