What’d you think of the Chattanooga Whiskey? I was in Chattanooga in July and stopped by this place and almost got one but didn’t.

It's the last night of National Bourbon Heritage Month 2022. Might as well end it on a high note.

Four 15 year old Kentucky Bourbons on this beautiful Friday night here in the potato mountains.

To all those with the fancy bourbon tasting glasses in here, do you all feel like it helps add to the experience? Or just really help dial in the nose?

I know it seems nerdy, or at least a bit excessive, but I definitely notice a difference on both nose and palate when I change up the glassware.

My favorite are the glencairn glasses. Best all-around nosing and tasting glass I've come across. The bourbon glasses I just posted are more nose heavy (for me) which tend to accentuate the wood used in any given spirit. They benefit from being filled a bit higher than I had them shown (at least one once). I have a few other different snifter type glasses and all of them seem to change the amount of cask influence that I can decipher off of the nose and palate. Depending on the spirit, this can be a good or bad thing. For higher aged bottles I prefer to stick to glencairns, and for younger whiskies the larger opening snifter glasses seem to boost the perceived cask influence which make them seem a tad less youthful IMO.

Love their stuff. I was there earlier this year and grabbed a few bottles I couldn’t get in fl. I have 2 back ups in addition to the bottle in the pic. The Mrs loves the 99 rye, 111 is good as well. But I really like the BNB and the Founders
