@jandrews and I snuck a sample from @Asphaltcowboychip into a restaurant and poured it into the emptied glasses left behind from our drinks. I’ll just speak for myself but…it was fucking hot. Also delicious, but, primarily hot.

Smooth. Very smooth. Very tasty. Unique compared to most other stuff.

    I'll make you a taster.

I will say I like Stagg Jr over this when it comes to higher proof whiskeys drinking like 110 proof. I do love the flavor of this though and glad I get to try it for the second time.

Never seen it, but when I used to travel through Memphis there was a Blue Note Juke Joint restaurant/bar in the airport.

Im in California now for a job and it is nice to see buffalo trace so available. Gets bought up the same day it gets stocked in VA.
All the highly desirable/allocated bottles I’ve seen out here are secondary market prices or more though, one good thing about VA is never paying over msrp if you find a bottle.
Found a few places in the Sacramento area that had some really nice bottles, but my bank account can’t afford secondary prices haha.

Picked up a few things here that we don’t get. Nothing super crazy.

The JD BP from BevMo? The 131 proof barrel pick they have is delicious, drinks lower than its proof

yep, I’m a fan of most of the higher proof JD stuff. Got a store pick 750ml of that same bottle from a bevmo in Denver that is really good. The JD bp rye 2020 is one of my favorite bottles I’ve ever had. Pissed that I missed the window when they were available online with no limit by accident in VA.

We spent last week in Hilton Head Island, SC - lots of rain and moderate winds from Ian. We hit some breweries and Hilton Head distillery while we were there. Wasn't thrilled with their bourbon but they make some awesome rum and a very nice gin - worth the tour if you're ever there.

I did hit the local liquor store looking for bourbon we can't get here in PA.
