For sure. When we were out that way this spring for vacation we didn't stop to shop for the week until we hit Utah, so we ended up backtracking back into Nevada to buy some booze.

We still can't purchase a case of beer in a grocery store.

I can actually do that and have it shipped to my house or to a local state store. The state store is more convenient because you don't have to wait for the UPS guy to show up and sign for it. But the GF's brother is 22 miles away from it's location right now. Either way it will be mine... :drevil:

But your beer is more than 4%. And you don’t have to look like a crook sneaking into the State Store to buy whisky.

State law says 4 and under. There’s different retailer licenses though and each of those come with hefty price tags depending on what you want to sell.

Craft beer, more than 4%, is available at the state store at ridiculous prices. (Same for all their alcohol.)

I’ve leaened that many brewers make two versions of their beer (if the original is more than 4%) just do they can sell it at most places that have lesser licenses.

    It’s confusing as fuck.

Sonnsabitches...it wasn't there. They even searched the store for it. The clerk said sometimes the system doesn't update after the last bottle is sold.

It sounds like a complete pain in the ass. I recall not being able to purchase two beers at a time in Moab from the bar. I thought that was funny.

Not only that, you cannot just go have a beer after work. You MUST order food. Most places (that I’ve experienced) make you order the food before they’ll let you order a drink.

Conveniently, nearly all places have something really cheap (chips/salsa, popcorn...) to satisfy the food requirement.

The pizza place in Brian Head let us order beer to drink while we waited for our pizza to cook, but we did have to put the food order in first. I thought that having to place the to-go order first was a little odd.

To-go? And they served you while waiting? You got lucky. That’s also a no no.
