Exactly. You can go to two different stores a block apart and see very different prices. I personally think that’s a good thing though from a macro perspective, you have options and there’s competition. And you also get the benefit of variety that you would never see in a regulated state.

 

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter. I don’t mind paying a little more as a trade off for availability.

 

I have one as well and it's amazing. These barrel selections tend to be pretty damn good

 

i second @Dr3w barrel pick bottle he has. It was a lot better than the first OF BP I had when they first came out, which I thought was just too hot and not enough flavor

 

Haven’t opened mine yet. Barrel pick from a local restaurant that has a really good bottle selection.

I forgot. You have to go through a two minute mouthwash and gargle with distilled water to cleanse your palate. And then do breathing exercises to get into the right mind state. Followed by note taking preparation, and then deep smells of the liquid. Then a small sip, hold it on the tongue, chew, swallow, eyes closed, to remember the flavor. Notes. And then the entire process again. I will check back tomorrow.

Nose is fresh baked bread.
Palate goes from vanilla to cocoa, both obvious but not overpowering.
Woods in the finish. I think that's the staves.

Opened up with 5 drops of water added.

Cask strength was a good choice here.
