My wife was there last week with her sister - nothing like the Ambassador Program to give you an excuse to go back. She picked this up for me - also only available at the distillery. Check the alcohol content on this bad boy.

The gf brought these back from Japan for me. Not my favorite, but definitely very drinkable.

And to make it even more confusing for visitors, that rule only applies in a place with a restaurant license. Places with a bar license can sell you just a beer or three (not at once, of course) without ordering food no problem...

It’s better than it used to be. From my understanding the 2002 Winter Olympics helped tremendously. Knowing visitors from around the world were coming, they were pressured to be (a tad) more normal in regards to their caffeine and alcohol consumption.

Especially since some of the Olympians like to get their parrrr-tay on after they've had their events. Or before & during, if they're Bode Miller.

Hell of a skier when he kept his focus. But when he got his party on he got distracted. It was weird hearing him giving commentary during this year's winter Olympics

I registered for that program too. I still have plenty of time before my barrel is mature enough to purchase any bottles.
I opted not to have my name on the plaque, E36DCC8F-285C-4209-B2F6-10B99E7727CB.jpgA8DAAAFC-4230-4684-A731-FFDC31914784.jpg

I've had aberlour abundh but none of their other stuff. I really like it, but it's dangerous. Much higher proof than you would think for being as smooth as it is ;). It's the only scotch I've found that advertises ginger as a flavor. Interesting and good scotch for sure.

No, but Mormons/LDS don’t (aren’t supposed to) drink it.

No demand, no need to supply it.

A friend was traveling thru SLC a number of years ago. Stopped at a Hardee’s for breakfast, asked for a coffee with it.
Staff didn’t know how to even how to use the coffee maker since no one had ever ordered it before.

They insisted it’s ok and would find a way to make it.

Friend reported that you could still taste the chemicals/metals from the coffee maker in his coffee.

Since there’s now a huge tourism boom, coffee is more mainstream today. There’s a great drive thru one on my route into Zion and I make sure to patronize them every chance I can.

Alright, so in my recent quest for Japanese whiskey's I have found I really enjoyed the Nikka Coffey Grain. The Suntory Hibiki is good, and my buddy got me another bottle that I can't remember the name of for the life of me, but both have a "scotch" flavor which I don't like as much as a "bourbon" type. Long story short, especially after reading the article @Cuffs posted and doing some other research, I think my preference will lie in grain whiskey's, not malt. So, who has some suggestions on what I should buy next?

That's crazy! I didn't realize how prevalent they and their beliefs were. I've never been out that way, seems like a beautiful area.
