Found a bottle of 10 Year Basil Hayden and grabbed the bottle of Nelson Bros. Reserve to try. Anyone tried either, yet?

You got the Woodinville for way cheaper than I got it. The liquor store was the only shop in Packwood though so I am sure that was part of the reason, never got to stop anywhere else.

Dang I know what's going on the Christmas list now.

I just saw the Nelson Bros yesterday and was tempted to try it, but had bought enough and didn’t have enough time to do research. Would love to hear your review.

Owned by Constellation, same group that owns High West.

They have recently earned the ire of a lot of the enthusiast community for "ruining" Belle Meade and their famous honey cask release.

Mike F. from Bourbon Culture gives his take on it here:

    https://old.reddit.com/r/bourbon/co...al_apology_letter_from_nelsons_green/in6wlws/

The juice may be tasty, I'm taking a wait-and-see myself on how they comport themselves moving forward.

I give your response an “A+” for proper use of “comport”.

If you mix two bottles of knob creek 9 together, that's the same as knob 18 right?

I have the Belle Meade reserve which I believe is what the Nelsons Greenbriar/ Nelson Bro’s Reserve is replacing. The NBR is their own distillate. Belle Meade reserve was sourced by them from MGP and is very good so if the NBR is even remotely similar you should be good to go

I’ve been meaning to try the Belle Meade Reserve, keep reading good things about it. So many fun bourbons, great problem to have.

yeah that’s pretty much MSRP but nobody has it very often so usually there’s a markup. I’ve got 2 bottles on my shelf for when I feel the urge.
