I popped it tonight an tried it - and enjoyed it. Definitely rye forward with some nice hints of cherry and oak. It was a good pour.

Finally made it home, got a few new bottles in Denver and Jacksonville this week. 2 that I’ve had and 3 that are new to me. It was a good hunt.

My first ever pour of EH Taylor as I watch the DVR’ed Panthers vs 49ers game that finally got Matt Rhule run out of my beloved state. Good way to end the week, fantastic bourbon.

I had not touched rye for some years after not enjoying it much early in my whiskey career.

@Hook78 shared a sample of Michter's Barrel Strength with me today (shout out to @Georgeee28 ) that convinced me to reinvestigate rye whiskey with my current brand knowledge.

    Here we go:

Michters barrel strength rye is one of my all time favorites. It's a phenomenal juice.

@Georgeee28 indeed we got into all your tasters and they were all excellent. The Michter’s most of all though. What a treat, you are the MAN.

My bestest bud in town for the weekend, we're continuing our assault on the premiums.

    Jacob's Well is top notch.
