Met a truck just as I was about to turn in at the house. Rock hit the windshield. Nice little divot.

Remember when I bought my 1st gen and had the same thing happen in like the first week, I was pissed. The one downside of having a new truck is worrying about all the
    dings and scratchs.

I usually open the hood at the dealer and put a scratch on the underside before driving it home.

Almost directly in front of me....no ignoring it.

I jinxed myself when I read the thread on replacing windshields.

I kinda wish one would hit mine. I got an inspection sticker today and i messed up and let the inspection guy do it. It’s kinda too high up and a little crooked.

Grass ninja (landscaper) on the marine base put a rock while weed whacking through my passenger side window with less then 700miles on it. That cost them quite a bit. And this was in a Benz I wanted to cry.

Get it fixed ASAP. Cost to repair a chip is less than 50 bucks and if you find a good guy, you might not be able to tell it's there. Pro tip - stop by a used car lot and ask them for a couple of phone numbers. They usually have a Rolodex full of "lot gypsies" that can fix rock chips, cigarette burns, scratches etc.

mine got hit in the first three months of owning it, I got a replacement and got hit on the way home from getting that. said f that, living with it. still a small crack today, three winters now and no growth, i've come to appreciate the way the morning sun glints off the angles of it on nice days.

That's awesome! You're well on your way to looking like a South Texas hunting truck. I like it when the mesquite scratches are down to metal in the front and it fades to paint in the back.

You must be really powering through some really tight trails. I've been relatively careful, but have gone through tons of mesquite and cedar in the last couple of years and my paint has held up great. The plastic fender flares look about like your truck, and I plan to hit them with some bedliner spray soon.

Been there done that. A week after purchase got hit by a tiny rock just right and got a brand new windshield.

My bike fell over the first week I had the truck. 5 inch scratch down to bare metal. What a perfect start of an ownership of this truck. Many more dings and scratches to come.

1000 miles my 4 year old nephew used my bumper to stop while learning to ride his bike.

5000 miles somehow got white paint on my MGM fender.

7000 miles and a hail storm rolled through. The top of the cab looks like a golf ball.

20,000 miles got my first rock chip.

This morning woke up in a nice cool house with my beautiful wife next to me.

    Can't sweat the small stuff.
