i did the same a few years back. caught a black widow and put her in a jar..holes in the lid, and grass/sticks in the jar....and put 2 crickets in every day. went on for a month.......and she got huge. then...i caught a wolf spider and dumped him in. he was probably 4 times bigger than her.....and she destroyed his ass. i went ahead a week later and sprayed her with brake cleaner.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I don't mind spiders if I know where they are and can have a watchfull eye on them. If I find one in the house I'll pick it up bare handed (barring it is not a poisonous one) and walk it to the door. I actually get on to my wife when she kills them. However when it is a surprise like this VVVV I scream like a little girl.

I do kill widows that I find around the house, but not until capturing them and then staring at them in a jar for a while. I've been tempted to be one of those crazy guys to try and let one crawl on me, but then I come to reality and kill it.

    Yes.
I don't even bother killing spiders, unless it is a black widow. The others can stay, or just be moved outside. Considering I own snakes, dogs, cats, insects, and rats as pets... I don't think I need this. Haha.
