That your rig? Or the ad? Nice find for sure. That’s a $3k topper. How’s the paint/chips on it etc? Doesn’t matter, good find, actually, either way.

You gonna add a leaf or leave it be?

That’s my Baja exploration vehicle. Had Air Lift bags installed yesterday in anticipation of paying for a new Snugtop. Something told me to check CL yesterday afternoon and viola! No chips but the linkage was dry and it wouldn’t latch. WD40 to the rescue.

So, you're measuring .5 inches of sag. What instrument are you using? Just curious.

New leaf springs took care of the topper weight. RXT stage 3 leaf springs laugh at the weight of a topper and ask for more 0939C001-CAF1-46AA-92EE-AAD49AE5183A.jpg

By the sound of it, seems like you don’t want aal. But if you want a topper and not sagging, you’re going to need it eventually. You’ll be able to get away with it for a year or 2, but the sag is inevitable. I put the rather heavy leer 100xr on my truck when it was about 1 month old. It’s now 3 years old with 50k hard miles. Here’s a pic after installing wheelers 1.5 aal and bilstein 5100 rear shocks to accommodate it. Ride quality has stayed about the same on road and is better off-road. I’ll throw in another pic or 2 of it towing

Thanks. I pulled the trigger on the Icon RXT leaf pack. Just gonna toss it on - option 2 - to be safe. I’m noticing sag a bit here and there - depending on the road.

Yea man. The shell looks great. A quality aal and you’ll be fine for a very long time.

I’m late to this party. But I’m running an RSi Smartcap… OVS 270 Awning, CVT Mt Washington RTT, Fridge with slide, and then I have a family of four, dogs; surf gear.

all I have is the upgraded TRD performance lift that you have.

When I’m runny the Cap alone… 200lb cap even with another 200lbs I get no sag.

but after the 400lbs I start to see it.

With all gear onboard … no leaf spring upgrade at all… I get this… (that said. A leaf pack is coming … the ride quality is like semi frozen milkshake in the hot sun).

So you can have the aesthetic with the weight be it.. a little saggy. . But the ride quality is crap.

I have a 22 DCLB off road on Pro suspension with a Leer Topper. The topper definitely makes it sag. I had to jack the rear up just to be able to install the SumoSprings, and it rides on them full time, even with the bed unloaded, but doesn’t seem to sag as much as without them, even when loaded. No complaints about ride quality. Here’s a pic of it loaded up in my driveway before I went Caribou hunting this summer.
