Fear The Walking Dead

I too like the trade route in the mix. It helps keep things fresh and interesting. It gets boring when they aren't on the move and the drama aspect of the show just lingers. Also I hope JDM alters his version of Negan a little. The whole leaning back grinning and talking slow with a trailing laugh is almost every scene now. I miss the "here I am, friendly as a fuckless fuck on free fuck day" Negan.

 

Finally caught up. Had to get the fiancé caught up. She never watched and was also a couple seasons behind TWD. We are now completely caught up on fear (I had missed all of season 3) and have 2 episodes + Sunday’s finale of TWD to see.

Interested to see how this crossover works since currently everyone on Fear is split up but yet on the premiere Morgan is supposed to show up. My guess is that the Fear group time jumps to where TWD currently is and Morgan meets up. We then get some flashback episodes on them being split up from the Dam and how they find their way back together before the time jump. I’m also guessing TWD has their own time jump as well post Negan war to further distance itself from Fear. It just doesn’t make sense to have 2 shows happening at the same time...

 

Looks like the season premier is tonight. Would've missed it if I hadn't been looking at the channel guide.

 

I think since it’s a crossover they will have the TWD Finale and lead in to the Fear premiere right after. I’m still 3 eps behind on TWD so it will be a bit before I can watch

 

I'm always a week behind because I can't take all the commercials. I wait and watch it on on demand so I can ff threw them. I'll watch both of these on friday night. I know that the time jump for fear has been confirmed, just thinking it must be big. If Morgan tells them there was a war back east, then it's the time it took to end + all the time it will take him to walk across the country.

 

Doesn’t have to go too far if they are in Texas, and that was however long ago when season 3 ended. If they time jump to catch up to Morgan they could have also advanced East...

I don’t have cable so I don’t have a way to watch TWD. Fear is on Hulu. Not sure why they don’t let TWD stream there too. I had a cable log in and was watching TWD on the AMC app but it’s not active anymore so I’m stuck looking for sketch streams of the final 3 episodes to watch on my iPad

 

I always set mine to record in case something comes up while I’m watching. But I usually start watching while it’s recording and still fast forward rough the commercials.

 

Okay, a lot going on last night, but I stayed up late and watched both TWD and FTWD. Really liked the season premier of Fear. I’ve always enjoyed the back stories of the various characters, so they did a good job there. I liked the two new characters that Morgan met and begrudgingly hooked up with. Now I can’t wait to find out what’s been going down with the original cast. I figure we’ll start to find out what’s happened to them over the past couple of years in the next few episodes.

 

Althea, the girl in the SWAT truck is the girl in 'Taken' who played Liam Neesons daughter Kim, (Maggie Grace). I thought she looked familiar so I searched IMDB.

 

Who was Morgan Burying?

 

I thought it was the guy he came across laying in the backseat of the jeep.

 

It was the guy he came across with the hurt leg inside the Jeep. Morgan tried to give him some supplies and the guy told him to take his stuff and leave. Morgan said he looked like he was alone and the guy responded with something like "we're ALL alone"(can't remember the exact words). Morgan repeats the line later in the show when talking to John Dorie or Althea.

 

I wasn't sure if it was the same guy he was chasing down the road. I didn't think the dude in the Jeep had hair that long.

 

It was hard to tell because he was laying down away from the camera but it looked like he had long hair. For a moment I thought it was the long haired Savior that Morgan kept seeing in his visions with this incident being another one of those visions. I was unsure when he was going toward the walker if it was Jeep guy but the camera flashes to the injured leg, same wound as the guy in the Jeep.

I thought for sure Morgan was going to be heading west in Jadis' helicopter

 

So what I think is going to happen is for at least the first half of the season we will be watching all the back stories of the different characters between where we left off last season at the dam and culminating in the meeting with Morgan that we saw on Sunday

 

Yeah, that’s pretty much it.

 

I was expecting that as well.

I still have a rough time with the timelines between the 2 shows. TWD is now in its..8th season? And probably 3 or so years into the apocalypse? And now FTWD is caught up to them in the 4th season?

 

Yeah, they’re at the same time, but we don’t know what the Fear cast has experienced for the past couple of years. I have a feeling we’ll have some flashback episodes. I think the addition of Al, the journalist, will tell a lot of the back story as she interviews the original cast. But that’s just my thought.
