Man, that was a good episode but the outcome sucked! F that little B, Charlie!!! I hope there is no "redemption" for her as the series goes on. F that! Nick was a great character and was the first one to be presented in the FTWD series. The betrayal and astonishment on his face after the realization...

I don't agree with the above, that Maddy is dead in the current timeline. I think Nick was just pissed off at what the Vultures are doing, their hold over Charlie, and not wanting to go back to where he was before. I keep wishing that old Maddy from the Ranch will come back, and just ice all these hipster Vulture assholes. Damn, what a way to start the season.

 

Well, I guess Frank Dillane requested to be killed off on the show. Ah well.

 

Has to have filmed at Volente Beach but I sure thought i had heard the 'Toilet Bowl' was dismantled before it closed (changed hands now). Anybody near there can confirm? Is there another one somewhere?

 

The now/ then/ before/ what time is it? style is annoying to me. I'm out....again.

 

Since they're changing to 1 show, 2 locations I'll give them more than 3 episodes to merge. Old viewers deserve that.

I'm glad to see a new cast as there wasn't much of the old one I liked. Strand can be only one left at the end as far as I'm concerned. Just never got into the other's characters (save Ruben Blades but he's gone) and left it but returned to see the crossover and liked the new time/vibe.

They never stayed long enough on the breakdown to have warranted having the timeline lagging to me.

 

I've been really enjoying these episodes. The atmosphere is bleak for the main cast, but it does reflect the despair that an apocalypse should. Not everything is peaches and cream just because you find a place to settle for the time being. I did wonder why the folks would just clear out walkers before exploring, like Alisha and Naomi in the water park. The walkers would have been pretty easy to take out, but this is TV and there has to be some type of suspense. I was kind of bummed to learn that she didn't make it in the conflict that they described in the end. I was hoping for John to have a bit of happiness there. Ah well. I guess we get their story next episode.

 

Yeah, I imagine the Texas heat would have baked those slides and made them quite grippy too. Of all the cars/trucks to pick in an Apocalypse why would anyone pick a Range Rover and think it's a good idea? I saw an old Toyota pickup in that episode. Must have got product placement money from Land Rover.

 

I like the way the story moves back and forth in time

 

I am fine with it at the moment too. The story is being told well this way to bring us to the present.

 

I think its an interesting take on storytelling that we already know Nick is dead , supposedly Naomi and in my opinion lots of signs that Madison is dead in the current timeline while we still see the characters in the story to get us to that point

 

Like watching Pulp Fiction and seeing Vincent Vega die but then oh, wait. He's not dead yet.

 

I'm not counting on Naomi being dead even though it's stated yet do believe Madison is even though it's not.

 

What if Madison is with the scavengers? Another young dude she thinks she can manipulate or just captive.

 

What a boring episode.

No, this is typical Walking Dead. Spend a bunch of time on character development for a 2 episode character.

I'm a little confused as to what exactly was attracting the walkers off the bridge?? It's a river/creek, creating noise and movement in both directions. I noticed the vehicle in the creek(with the walker inside) but it wasn't any more or less distracting than the water... IMO

I actually really liked the episode. John Dorrie is my new favorite regular, so getting his story was very interesting for me. It also makes me hope that Naomi isn't really dead. There has got to be some good in this world, right? Also, I think John and Morgan make a good duo too, this show's Rick and Daryl.
