Fear The Walking Dead

I watch all of them except The Strain. Last week I had to start watching The Last Ship on Monday after work cause FTWD is on at the same time & takes priority.

 

I need to watch the Last ship. How is it going?

 

Maybe she needs to pull her shirt forward so it can reset to normal
Level... MAYBE! Lol

 

I like it a lot. good storytelling, good acting. It's a change of pace from all these other shows that band together a bunch of people who don't know each other that try and survive being that it's a Navy ship trying to preserve America and save people.

 

I have only watched the first episode and haven't watched since. Thanks bro

 

Ep. 2 was intense. Maybe it's the music but this show seems so much more terrifying than TWD. Next episode looks like it will be good, have to wait 2 weeks though.

 

This season's premier of The Last Ship, which was a continuation of the proverbial cliffhanger at the end of season 1, was excellent. It had everything you could hope for. It's a great show. I've also watched Falling Skies from the beginning because I'm a big sci-fi fan. I always hate when both seasons end. They're recording even as I type. I'll watch them later tonight.

I wonder the reason for waiting two weeks?

 

Labor day weekend. Shows usually take that weekend off so they don't have a dip in ratings. I don't think it's an issue any more with DVRs though...

I think AMC also runs war movie marathons all weekend

It was a fantastic follow-up episode. I came away with the same feeling. I think this version feels more real because it isn't revolving around the comic and the comic book characters, that are naturally drawn up to have some hero-type natural abilities. I also think the intensity plays off well because of how the scenes are portrayed. The protest turned riot scenes were very good at drawing a palpatable sense of tension in the air. Everyone was on edge seeing the police kill people and not knowing that it's not just police brutality.

Me too OZ. I almost have a sense it can surpass the original, for the reason I mentioned about not having to follow the comic with typical comic archetypes.

 

That scene and the scene back at the house when the daughter was looking at the window and she went to turn back into the house and you catch of glimpse of the neighbor who had 'turned' heading across the street. It's like their ignorance to the problem is what is more terrifying. It had the same feel in the riot scene when they were panning the crowd and they briefly show the chick coming out from behind the truck and cut away. It reminded me of the scene in Signs (yes, the Mel Gibson movie). When they are at the birthday party and someone is filming with a home camera and they are just shooting an open gap and then the alien walks out across the screen. THAT has major creep factor, and they have done it twice in Fear and I love it.

Watched episode 2 tonight. Pretty intense! I find myself wondering who's going to be in the initial group of survivors. Could look on imdb.com, but how much fun is that?

 

Well, viewship was down from the record breaking premiere, unsurprisingly. The premiere was 10.1 million viewers, the second episode came in at 8.2 million viewers. The culprit was the MTV VMA's which won the night with something like 11.9 million viewers. smh

FTWD however still easliy beat out Sunday Night Football on both channels it was showing on.

Mtv movie awards are a joke. Fear is better off without the viewers that chose that smut over this show. I also don't think the initial viewer count includes DVR. I never watch live so I don't know if I'm included in that or not. Not that my 1 viewing matters, but I'm sure there are more people like me who wait 20ish minutes so they can watch commercial free.
