Features you wish you had on your truck

In order of annoyance for not having

Proximity sensor on all doors and tailgate
LED headlamps, fog lamps and tail lamps
Power folding mirror with puddle lamps
Automatic Rain sensing wipers
Rear window that goes all the way down like the tundra

 

i actually can't think of anything beyond this, for me from a driver's perspective. which is pretty impressive to me. great truck. of course I've done my mods already..

Nah, most of those have become pretty basic features/options in vehicles now. As much as I LOVE my Tacoma, it is not the greatest value proposition for what we get for the money, IMO (for TRD's and Limited).

 

I don’t think so, ie if you have a sunroof. At least in the off-road models.

I know 4x4 OR’s do not. The crawl control and MTS are located where the sunglasses holder is located. I have a 4x2 off-road and I have the sunglasss holder tho.

 

(FYI.....actual Lybian “technicals”. Not fake. That Russian helicopter rocket pod would be something to see go off!)

 

That would require me to shift into reverse. Hard to do that while on the expressway

 

100%. used that feature on my ole 4R every single day.

 

I can see those being useful mods to combat morning traffic.

 

Well as most new cars...they use cap less system. Also the gas cap fits in the handle for the nozzle at the pump which you can use to keep a good constant flow even when there's no latch to keep the flow.

Rear camera anytime switch. I use the rear camera in my SUV to see if I've pulled into the garage far enough to clear the door. PITA to have to keep shifting into reverse to see if I'm in far enough.
Frame mounted truck bed d-rings as an option.
Truck bed support notches sized to fit standard dimensional lumber.
8 foot length inside tailgate so I can transport 4x8 sheet goods with the tailgate closed and not hanging over the top of the tailgate.
Power tailgate lock, and a tailgate security device one step above a hose clamp.

 

As weird as it sounds, i have seen some new vehicles that do not have gas caps any longer, I think the are equippd with some sort of check valve if you happened to roll over though.
