automatic door locks when you put in drive and get to about 5 mph. all my honda vehicles have had this. I would also like the once touch window up/down for all windows.

My Tacoma has this feature! Of course i did my self as part of the python alarm system. Its pretty sweet, you hit lock and the windows go all the way up no matter where you are. I also programed a macro into the remote that is called vent, so i will not only lock the doors, it will keep all four windows 1" for the top so it will vent.

    1. What is that? It's as rusty as a two-year-old Tacoma frame! :)

    2. Why can't you rebuild a modern engine? It's all the same procedure, just a few more things to test and R&R along the way.

Agree with the rubber mat option, would invest in quality aftermarket option if offered other than the digital fit floor mats. Surprises me really since the FJ gets it but no option is offered for us.

Heated mirrors are pretty easy to do and since you have electricity in there anyway. The retrofit from other Toyota products is on my winter shop time list.

And I would like to have - and am talking with an Audi technician about it - the right mirror dip like all of my Audi's did when I shifted into reverse.

X2. I actually think its more easy, than the older ones....well....to a degree. On a newer engine, everything is more or less "plug & Play". No carbs to mess with, etc....

Rebuilding engines is a dying art.. By the time an engine needs to be rebuilt on a newer vehicle, the car is probably not worth very much (unless someone did something stupid, like running it without oil). I can imagine people rebuilding boat engines, but I see car engine re-building slowly dissolving...

I like the garage door opener feature in the sun visor. If you have a compass/temp guage then your SOL.

On top of all the other great features mentioned would it bee too much to ask for a light in the center console and glove box, my last car had this and it was convenient to say the least. All well, simple mod anyway.

My daily driver is manual everything and I don't have a single complaint. If I do roll down windows regardless of which vehicle I'm in, it's only the fronts. Rolling down the rears serves little purpose other than to worsen gas mileage.

Fact: Manual controls are more durable. That's just the way it is. They've been around longer, the bugs have been refined out. I want my truck rugged, not luxurious.

You can get this. Interior lights. It's an accessory, although I think it may be SouthEast Region only.

In any event, I had the dealer install it in mine before taking delivery.

Not necessarily a bad thing. This is happening because engines are living longer and causing less trouble in the first place. Refined manufacturing processes...

You're forgetting something. If you have all of the things you want in a Tacoma, it's no longer going to cost $27k, nor going to be just a mid-sized work/sports pick-up truck.

I just wish I could swap my interior with my wife's new Lexus and have all her do-dads...leather, paddle shift, navigation, heated and air conditioned seats, touch screen EVERYTHING....you know...all that crap. Not that I'm complaining....If zombies ever attack the Tacoma is still the vehicle of choice.:D

My firebird (T56 Trans) has a beeeeautiful 6 speed in it. Highway cruising with a T56 makes owning a 350 small block fuel efficient, and badass, all at the same time!

Now, if it only wasn't a shitty GM...
