Well, let me see how it goes and I might be able to send some your way. I can't imagine they will cost much. Of course they are not gonna look like those cool ones for $60 bucks. I just went and checked the little plastic brackets that come with them and they are great for inside you kitchen cabinet or on the wall in the garage but that's it. They would not hold them in place at in the truck, so I will have to source a better way to hold them to the flat bar.

Oh wait! Didn't I just see a video about some cheap ways to secure items like this in the truck? ;)

Hey buddy sorry for the delayed response. I was at the mall out wheeling all day but @Jckdnls helped me out. :D 11x1 and if you have a 2nd Gen Tacoma it will fit perfectly in the small middle rear window.

    Sup @boogie3478 @EatSleepTacos @Jckdnls @Montauk17

So for now I have them fire extinguishers behind each rear seat in the space between the storage tray and the rear cab corner

    Drivers side

    20181125_160605.jpg

    20181125_160518.jpg

    Passengers side

    20181125_160436.jpg

    20181125_160421.jpg

I took a drive to grocery store afterwards and they don't rattle or make a sound so that's good. I do like how they are completely invisible but the catch 22 is they are not as easily accessible as I'd like them to be.

I checked a lot of places to out them. LOL I even held on up to the back of the drivers seat between the headrest and seat top thinking a bracket could be mounted to the headrest seat posts (I keep mine raised all the time). But that was stupid. The thing is they need to be up front so you don't have to open the rear doors to get to them. I'm pretty sure any professional firefighter would agree you should never re-enter a burning vehicle.

I put one in front of the drivers seat and braced it with a rag to mimic our original idea. I kicked it getting in and out and I like to pull my left leg back at times so I hit it then too.

Then I looked at the side of the center console near the footwell. Meh. Even though they are only 3.25" diameter it made an already tight space worse.

Then I checked out the side of the front seat base. Those plastic skirts. There is literally nothing behind them and I really think you could bolt a real bracket, or a quick fist to them if you used large fender wahers behind the skirt.

Then they are right there and you could probably release them on your way out. If nothing else, as soon as your feet hit the ground. Oh, and they'll be hidden here too.

Yea yea, I know, I tend to over think things. :p

You can run 2 inch dom tube up the apillar across to the fromt angke down to the floor. Repeat on the other side. Than connect the tubes on the roof n behind the seat. Than you can mount it in the tube running up the apillar.

Believe it or not, those roll bar aka dom tube brackets are stupid expensive. I do like the the interior roll bar idea though. :headbang:
