I'll go ahead and say it since it wasn't captured on film, but I slid backwards for about 100-150' going 20mph. It was a miracle I didn't smash into a tree. It was a difficult day to record video because alot of recovery was going on and there was ice everywhere making it difficult to walk around ... plus we were often spread out too far to really get out and record.

I did see a vehicle come as close to tipping over as you can possibly get though without going over! (captured on my GoPro)

Yeah we got a few teaser pics and ol' Randall said it was a skating rink winch fest out there. Glad you didn't get hurt or the truck didn't get smashed.

I think some of what happens on these wheeling trips is going to scare you off from wheeling before you even hit a trail

Just so you know carnage is not the norm when wheeling. It's the norm when you start pushing the limits. For the amount of time that my truck spends off the pavement the times when shit went wrong or I got actual damage is less than 5% I would say. Now pretty much every time I go out I get a new little scuff or scratch from a tree branch but that's more of an expectation than something more major.

I love showing mine. But yesterday I was last in the line and we were spread far apart for most of it. Hard to record my truck from the back.

@twheat40 got a great video clip from his dashcam sliding backward down the hill (which also happened to me) that I'll splice into the video. :bananadance:

My heart skipped a couple beats as well. He did a good job keeping her straight and not getting into crazy trouble.
