Right on, i will pick one up and see if it works with my ax/shovel. Feels like an easy way to secure the ax/shovel without drilling any holes

Yep should work fine as long as they are standard sized handles.

I think they are. Nothing special. A fiskar splitting ax and a kobalt d handle spade shovel. We shall find out soon enough :)

You should be good to go. That mount has a circular part to hold the shovel and a more oval shaped part to hold the axe. Works great, just make sure it's tightened down all the way.

I love helping others spending money on Tacoma stuff! :D

Lol I must get 3-4 messages a month on TW and YouTube from people saying they bought a Tacoma specifically because of me. Toyota needs to start showing me some LOVE.

What shovel do you have? The one I have wont work with the mount since the shovel head contacts the bed rack. The ax I have will work.

Also, fastest shipping ever, i was amazed when it showed up today

I just have a stand shovel and when mine is mounted to the side of my Voodoo rack I do have to turn it so the shovel head is angled slightly. You might have to play with getting your axe and shovel positioned just right but it should work without contacting your rack. I also added some furniture guards anywhere on my rack where either of the tools looked close to contacting the metal.

I would be afraid it would invite thieves. Not sure if you have that worry. Looks awesome though. Lots of good ideas filling it from @Jckdnls maybe add some outdoor wilderness survival stuff like a fire starter. Could go with Leatherman knife. Or a utility knife?
