So I'm thinking of picking up an Olympus TG-870 primarily to take along on fly-fishing trips. I particularly like the hinged display for those low shots of fish just on the surface of the water or even slightly under water.

I know it's not a DSLR and thus has its limitations.

General online feedback seems to be good.

Has anyone used one for outdoor activities? And what's your feedback.

A friend of mine had one for the very same thing. You don't have to worry about dropping it in the drink and your hands are always wet dealing with fish and whatnot. Yeah it's not going to do what a dslr does, but it will do well enough for its intended purpose. He liked his and he had some great pictures taken with it. I use a GoPro but it's pretty limited compared to somethin like that Olympus.
