    You're good, Max.
The BUY LIST is the one we'll be actually working off of. That long list is just the people who are interested and have not decided to buy yet.

And while you're patiently waiting I actually have the first production spacer and took some pics with it attached to the intake manifold. :)

The nylon isn't a true black, and has a definite blue cast to it similar to how anodized aluminum can have. If you get it out into sunlight, it's definitely blue, but in regular ambient light it looks more blackish. Next to the intake manifold you can easily see the difference. For some reason, the camera doesn't seem to pick up the blueness, but it's there in real life. One advantage is that the spacer is all but buried under the fuel rail, bunches of wires, and hoses when it's installed on the engine.

This one gives you a good idea of exactly how much longer the spacer makes the curled runners. It's also an additional advantage in that the longer section is perfectly straight just before the air enters the head.

What kind of heat can the "nylon" withstand? These are not phenolic material correct? No melting issues or warping? The part looks very nicely done in fit and finish! Good job.

Thanks. It's exactly the same material as the stock intake manifold. :)

Nice, I had thought about phenolic when I was making mine, but none of the cnc shops want to cut it. They said it is really tough on equipment. Did you just decide to go that thick? Was wondering why its so big?

I made a two inch spacer because that's the maximum allowable thickness that the 2.7 has the space to accept without causing major problems.

And even at that thickness, it still had a minimal effect of lowering the torque peak by only 250 rpm and fattening up the curve in a few spots, so anything thinner would have even less of an effect. I would have liked to have gone even thicker but everything has its practical limits.

The results are ok for just for a simple inert bolt on accessory, so I'm satisfied with that. :)

Hi Tooter, I'm fascinated with your work.

This post caught my attention. I have a supercharged 2TR truck and I am in the process of adding a fifth injector to get enough fuel to the engine after 5000 RPM. There is an additional injector kit at URD, which is made for the 1GR engine. If the 1GR valve body has the same bolt pattern as the 2TR, I can use it for my fifth injector. Looking at this picture, is this the 2TR vs 1GR throttle body, or is it the Corolla vs Yaris one? My guess is it is the Corolla vs Yaris. So do you know if the 1GR has the same bolt pattern as the 2TR?

    Thanks,
    Ibrahim

    This is so awesome!

This is exactly what the car/truck/motorcycle communities need, thoughtfully designed and executed parts made by forward-thinking people with real know-how!

Any d-bag can copy a drawing, extrude it and have it cut out of aluminum. LOL

I remember talking to you about this when you were first developing the idea/design. I'm super stoked on your material choice, gaskets, thickness and pocketed design! Just awesome!
