So, I got some off time between archery and rifle season out here in CA for deer, and im finally gonna shit can all the chrome on my baby. So, its all gonna be done, but need some help and advice on what to do exactly.

Parts chrome that are gonna be blacked out-
Grille- Billet Style, dunno what brand
    Grille Surround
Badges (NO I AM NOT DEBADGEING IT, Prob just removing some of the rear ones)
    Rear Bumper
    Wheels

    My Thoughts
Grille- My Grille is only chrome, well actually like a rough stainless, on the outside flat part, rest is already black, so i was thinking on just a nice clean sand and rattle can it. (this will also be done with all the badges to have all the same color black)
Grille Surround- completely lost on this one. how would i paint over chrome? i would like to do the same rattle can, tons of coats so if i do get scrated it wont be to bad, but ya, some help on this part would be nice.
Badges- same as the surround, sorta lost, thinking just sand the piss outta it and rattle can.
Rear Bumper- i would like to do either a roll on line-ex type thing, or pay to get it sprayed. this way i can beat the hell outta it and not worry about it, and i hunt alot so i want it durable. how hard would paint on be? best brands, etc, let me know. plus, later on down the road ill be getting a relentless bumper for the front
Wheels- i feel plasti dip would be the best way. way to much work to sand and paint, or if not, lemme know how and opinions etc.

All suggestions open, i need some help, and with all your suggestions if you could maybe post some links from here on how to, and all that. open to whatever, and wanna try to get it all dont asap before the 13th, before rifle opens up. thanks for your time

Heres some pics to see what it looks like as she sits now.

I hope you're ready for the plasti-dip folks to bury you.

I'm too tired to read all that, but I primed and painted my badges satin black. They've held up perfect for about a year now. I want to do my grill sometime also, but I want it color matched.

x2 on the badges. I also spray painted my grill but it doesnt hold up too well. Ive had to redo it about 3 times within a year. I think getting a parts geek one will be your best bet

Krylon Fusion holds up well on plastic. Take your time on the prep, use a primer/adhesion promotor, lots of light color coats and clear the hell out of it and it'll hold up fine on the badges and grille surround.

Bedliner isn't a bad option on the bumper. If you rattle can it, touch up would be easier though. Rustoleum would work well for the metal. Again, take your time with the prep.

Wheels I'd go rustoleum also rather than plasti-dip. Plasti-dip will peel away and rattle ran is again easy to touch up if needed.

You might want to look into trading for a black bumper. It might be a lot easier and it'll be the factory paint (more durable than rustoleum over chrome).
