I would like to switch my chrome grill out for a silver one. Having said that would there be any interest in the chrome if i make it a satoshi? Or should i just sell it stock? Would anyone be willing to trade for a silver grill stock or satoshi? I just hate all chrome

Paint the chrome yourself. I know everyone says its easy, but coming from me its truly is. This was a chrome grill.

Was it color matched toyota paint? Spray can or actual air paint sprayer? Thanks for the info!! This just might work

All I did was find some sand paper around the house (that happened to be 120 grit). Sanded the chrome until it wasn't shinny anymore. I then covered the black plastic with random paper and blue painters tape. Then used a Rustoleum black primer (probably 4 coats). Then added a few coats of Krylon textured shimmer. The Krylon is actually a metalic gray, and looks a lot different away from the truck. When I put it on the truck I couldn't believe how close they were. ( I actually bought the metalic gray to paint my ex-girlfriend hub caps on her VW)

I think the silver streak would be quite a bit more difficult to match i think you might have just got lucky!! Haha how long has it been and hows the paint holding up??

It's been a couple months. The only place I see a problem was on the inside of the Toyota symbol where I couldn't sand very well. Like I said I'm not professional!
