8:30 AM, I don't know how long that will last and how long the test will take...are you willing to meet me in Smithfield? Also after a wheeling trip this winter one of my roof gutter seal ripped off o it will be easier to see if there is any holes already there

Nice! Makes me wish I went the wider awning. I have the narrow one and its effectiveness is debatable whenever the sun isn't straight overhead.

Nice! What size awning is that? I'm looking to get a 79" cvt awning and mounting it to the topper rack.

I know that the one guy that bought an FJ Rack switched out some of the standard hex bolts that attach the rack to the truck with some special torx head bolts to impede those without the right tools.

Another option would be to get a plate that covers the top of bolts and two little locks to hold it down to the mounting feet.

Thanks! Haven't had a chance to fully deploy it yet but will try to this weekend and get som pics up.. The awning was about $260 shipped from Sierra Expeditions. Best price I could find.

Ya I was debating between the 4' wide and 6.5'.. I'm used to hauling an ez-up which is pretty heavy & bulky, but still will need to get used to the downsize of coverage from the 10'x10' to 6.5' x 8' or so.. I know, first world problems :p

It's the ARB 6.5' awning.. Looks to be exactly the same as the CVT, same mounting rails, etc.

Looking forward to hearing how the Access Cab rack works out.

I love a nice rack, and there aren't very many options for us AC broheims.

Does the steel not bolt together like the aluminum? Id need both cap and cab. Also how does the caprack mount to the cap? Do you need existing rails on top?

The steel version has essentially evolved into the aluminum version. If someone wants the steel i can get it but it isn't bolt together or adjustable. The caprac can be mounted many different ways. The standard is to mount it using thule/yakima tracks that you can install yourself if you don't have them already. Even flow is planning on using some type of pad under the feet and bolting it directly to the topper. You could pm him for details if you are interested in that option.
