Is the rack sitting on the roof or is it lifted with spacers, it looks really clean.

Its on spacers. to prevent it from sitting on the roof. So you can retain your weather stripping, just have to drill holes for spacers!. I'm gonna see what I can do to cut down on the spacers and mounting location and see if I can get it to fit perfecting onto weather strips without rubbing the roof.

I thought I would throw a quick update that I have been out driving on the highway today with speeds up to 70mph and with the deflector on and a little bit of gear on the rack there is no longer any wind noise.

Also, I had some requests about a matching rack for a camper shell. I have been working on a design and will try to get the details up today. I won't have an actual built prototype unless someone orders one just because I do not need one personally and the design will be similar to the rack for the cab. Each one will also be fairly custom based on whether or not the buyer has the thule or yakima tracks installed on thier topper, the width between the tracks, or if the rack is going to be a direct mount to the topper.

I don't know the details of shipping to Canada but am willing to do whatever as long as you cover the charges. Send me a PM with your shipping info as well as ways you may have shipped/ordered before and we can try to figure something out.

Bump to remind those that are wanting to get in on the first batch of these that I need orders by this evening. I have a list of about 10 people who have said they are in but have only received payment from one. I do not stock materials for these and would prefer to have full payment prior to purchasing materials. However if you have a problem with that let me know and we can work out some type of deposit and then the remaining balance will be due prior to shipment.

I'm sorry boss but your going to have to take me off the list. I thought the cross bars bolted on to the rack (so basically its all completely bolt together). I just don't have access to a welder and I don't have the ability to meet Greyhound to pick the rack up.

If I have the ability in the future to weld I will order one of these, but my work schedule just doesn't allow that right now.

Great looking rack, design looks legit! I was actually looking to order a Baja rack very soon but I think I'm going to order from you!
What would be the shipping of a fully assembled steel rack to 92630?
Also, I may be interested in a matching rack for a Snugtop rebel shell.

any word on whether or not this will fit with the 12+ shark fin for XM radio?
interested in a 3/16" aluminium one. do you offer Al versions fully assembled?
    thanks

edit: looks like if I get a diy kit I could move the rear bar to ensure the fin isn't in the way.

Yeah, Essentially if you have the shark fin antenna you can either move the rear crossbar forward or backward to fit it, or instead of having a 2"x1" rear cross bar you can have 2 1"x1" rear crossbars and stick the fin between them.

I do not have the ability to weld together aluminum racks at this point in time so I will only be offering them in kits. I'm sure I could get a shop to weld them but don't know what the price would be.

sounds good. i'm not that good at welding aluminium, especially at only 3/16", so I'll see if I can find a shop/material locally. I'll get back to you soon.
    thanks!

    good work btw

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Actually, could you quote that as two racks together? I live next door to 92630, so it would make sense to combine.
Or his rack assembled, and mine as a build-a-kit.

Added some pictures of the new rails to the OP that I got back from the cutter today. They look really nice. This set will be headed out to CALI TACOMA today!

On a side note. I found a powdercoating company here in town that has some pretty competitive rates. I may take some wheels over to test them out but if they turn out to be a good source then powder coating will be an option for the fully assembled racks.
