All kits and rails have shipped. To those who have order full racks I haven't been able to get them all finished up quite yet but am certain they will be ready for pick-up/delivery/shipment by the weekend. I just want to get them all cleaned up and ready for you all.

To anyone following this thread with interest in one of these racks or other options, I will probably start a list for the next batch of these. Depending on the interest I can do another batch in the next couple weeks, or if there isn't as much interest, it will probably be mid-march.

Subbed! My bday is March 4th so hopefully ill have some funds if the family feels generous this year haha! I'd probably want just the rails seeing how I just ordered a Larin Roof Top Cargo carrier. Think this would mount well on the rails?

I am sure you could mount it up with a little bit of ingenuity. What are the dimensions of the basket?

I really like this and expect to order one. I just need to get the truck home and measure the garage opening to see if it will compatible with the garage door and a lift.

The rack adds about 3-4" to the highest point on the truck for your reference

I hope to take the plunge for a rack for a topper if I can find one at a decent price in my area!

Good luck on the search, and I will look forward to working on a rack once you find a topper.

YES! Put me down for the rails only, 1/4" aluminum! This is exactly what I need for a rack I have an idea for.

Zach, what would be the best way to mount offroad lights to your rack? With the deflector and the lower height, I'm envisioning some challenges, even with something like an LED light bar.

You could mount typical round off road lights to the front cross bar by adding some light tabs. It would limit the length of items you could put on the rack but that is pretty typical for any rack with round lights. The distance between the rails in the front is 47" so a 40" light bar would fit nicely right in front of the first cross member, or you could mount a 50" in front of the rack itself with mounts attached to the rack, or on top of the front cross bar like people have done with Bajaracks, (I think the expedition overland Tacoma has one like I am thinking)

The width between the rails varies from 44" to 47". So the best way to mount it would probably be the rails and 2 cross bars. Then you could mount the basket to the cross bars.

As mentioned, I wouldn't want the lights to stick up above the rack due to height issues in the garage. That's why I thought a slim LED bar might work best. I guess I'd have to mount it in a way to sit below the fairing/deflector.

The way the deflector is set up now you could mount it in front of it and it would still sit below the top of the rack. I don't know how the noise would be, but I have seen other racks with the light bars mounted that way and they don't seem to be complaining.

I am also working on an option for a clear deflector that is out in front and that would allow you to mount a light bar behind the clear deflector and it would still sit below the top of the rack.

I don't think you would have an issue with a light bar, but for sure the conventional round lights would be a no go.

I was thinking about that. I'm pretty sure I saw something like this on a truck somewhere on here, but it's all still new and things run together. I wonder how much the deflector would affect the way the light is thrown through it.

You could ask Tyler Pelfrey. He has roof rack with some type of lighting behind a clear lexan deflector

That's probably it. Was looking at their battery cage GB. Thanks!

When would you be able to build / ship another. I need to go look at options for finish (paint, PC, etc.) in the OP. We had problems with the bedliner paint on our Xterra rack and the wife wants this one professionally done.

I prefer to get these done in batches which is why I have started making a new list in the OP. When there is enough interest I will start up production again. It makes it easier to get the rails cut all at once rather than doing them one at a time. However, if you are wanting one done quicker, it shouldn't take long at all to get one done providing I don't have anything super time consuming come up with school.

As far as coatings go. I have a powder coating company that I have contacted and looked at samples of their work, they do a good job and have quoted me about 170.00 to do one of these racks. That is an option or I can ship it bare metal and you can find your own powder coater, etc.
