Probably a good chance of it but you can tint it down or use a dimmer as someone mentioned earlier I believe

Tint maybe but if these LED are anything like home LED bulbs they may not perform well on a dimmer unless the circuit is specifically designed for it. Home LED tend to flicker on a dimmer unless you buy ones that specifically say dimable

I believe BD sets up their leds to run at 100% too as an FYI. So unless they have an option to get a lower output, the lights would be stupid bright for a brake light, and it would require a custom solution.

My plan was to hopefully ask about purchasing a S2 housing, bezel, and lense without internals etc., and try to retrofit an existing brake assembly internal to run off the factory brake wiring / signal, so there are no power variance issues on that circuit. Then a standard S2 next to it with aux power wiring and switch on dash for the second spot.

Check voltage rating for the LED lights if they can run at 9V for example you can lower the output voltage and it won't be as bright, along with some tint you could tone it down enough.

IMO I don't see this an a issue, those who purchase this can figure it out and do it how they prefer.

... and I want one already in my Taco!!!!
