I know many of your run various electronics, winches, lights and so forth.
I have read that a few people are looking for high output alternators. As i do lots of caraudio, used to compete etc, the damand was high. IS there enough demand for this to be able to justify some form of group buy ? There are various companies but https://www.dcpowerinc.com/ is the best imo. They built alts for some trucks that ran king of the hammer challenges etc. One can also look at mechman alternators as an option.

200-270 amp alternators would be the target.

    any input ?

What would be the PREFERED output rating At IDLE "?

    exactly and their bullet proof!
The guys that compete in audio run multiple of these under full load daily for hours on demos etc etc. If that passes the test, it will suffice for what ever we do to it.

I will look at other companies if their quality of materials and product is up to snuff!

Is there any benefit for us not so enriched? I have a few lights, changing factory lights to LED and will have a winch at some point.

    Any harm?

    Well to be honest,
If your voltage is relatively stable when u us everything ur ok.
Voltage drop on 12v can cause all sorts of problems w ur electrical devices

Also, most of these alts companies I'm listing to contact are bulletproof and you most likely would never need one again. A buddy has had one after stock one died out in the mountain while crossing a river. His new one has no problem with anything he does to it:)

But with all that said, if you don't really need it to charge ur system you can upgrade ur wires I.e big3 and that should help reduce any voltage drop you may have. Everyone has seen some ones truck/car e an audio system when the lights dim etc. 999% if that can be solved by the above

i would be interested, granted if these were similar quality to the current offerings but possibly at a better price point. I am looking into building up an audio system, and any alts that put out a respectable power level are getting up into the $700 range or higher (usually higher)

    Hmmm
Not sure what I'd need it for... But I like it.
Gotta be a way to justify this haha
Maybe it'd work for an on board welding setup :spy:
My dad's jeep has one that's saved our asses several times always wanted one
