I unfortunately don't have pics of the latest and greatest prototypes (I lost the pre-installation pics when my hard drive crapped out -- and those prototypes are now installed in trucks), but this is very similar to what the kit would look like pre-installation:

Main differences in the newer version are: longer cables, zinc die-cast cable ends instead of clipped cable ends, different colored wires to make the wiring color-coded to make the installation more straightforward, wire plug connector for the motor terminals, wire plug connector for the rocker switch (no need to use individual female spade connectors), and different packaging of the kit.

Will this kit still not work if you have a sub box filling in behind the seat?

It depends on the sub box. The kit will still work with many/most aftermarket sub boxes. There are a few exceptions, though. Generally, sub boxes that take up ALL the space behind the rear seats, and extend clear up to the window frame are likely to be problematic with regard to the window kit. The new window kit, however, will have longer cables, offering a bigger bag of options to work from in terms of mounting locations with aftermarket sub box arrangements.

We had talked when I first joined 2 years ago and it wouldnt work with my sub box, so I was hoping that you had found a way around it. I am also still willing to cut a spot out of my sub box... lol

Well I'm a little disappointed that you dont have any pics of the latest and greatest, but with your descriptions and the picture here, I think I have a fairly decent idea of how everything goes together. Am I correct in thinking the motor assembly bolts to the plastic liner? Or does it bolt to the back of the cab behind the plastic?

Yes, for double cabs the motor bolts directly to the side of the drivers side plastic bin (as simple as drilling 3 holes into the side of your bin for the bolts to pass thru). For access and regular cabs, the motor mounts to the back of the cab on a plate that is secured to the cab with 3M dual lock strips. For double cabs that have aftermarket subwoofer boxes that take the place the storage bins, the motor will have to mount directly to the sub box.

This. As much as I want my rear window to open and close, I have long enough arms where I can just lean the seat back a bit and open it by hand. Price is too much for what it is but the idea is awesome.

You know I voted 100% yes.

Maybe being local I can get a tutorial from the inventor himself...? :notsure:

Would a decal on the window affect it at all?

Great question. I generally recommend that stickers/decals get removed from the outside of the sliding glass pane. The main thing is that over time, after many repeated cycles of opening and closing the window, the sticker/decal will degrade the rubber weatherstripping around the window. The performance of the power window will also be its best if there are no stickers/decals to provide excess sliding friction.

I would definitely remove my decal for this. There have been plenty of times I've wanted to open it up but decide not to because I'm too lazy to manually do it myself. I've been spoiled by the automaticity of everything else.

If it stay's under $200 i'm in. The deciding factor would be the install. Reading that it takes 4-5hrs. That actually means all day for a first timer with no screw ups. Most shops will bang you a heavy install fee or even deny the work if you didn't buy the product through them.
