Because we all get UCA's to run bigger tires, why have the caster adjustment so it can fall out of spec while on the trails when you can have it built into the UCA's? You will never run different caster unless you go back to factory size tires, imo its a point of failure added that may cause huge issues if you blow you alignment on a trail and its a Holiday, so alignment shops are not open and you cant do any highway drive till you get one.

If its built in, no need to worry.

That makes sense. Why build it out of 3 parts when you can build it out of 1. Simplicity usually means there is less to fail.

However, has this actually happened or is this speculation?

The picture is wrong on that page, but the item number is right, and they also have the version for the first gen tacoma (25460) in a different listing. I've used this site before for a crazy good price on a smittybilt X2O 10k synthetic winch. My item came from a well-known authorized seller, with receipt. They get away with it because the seller isn't the one actually advertising below MAP, and the manufacturer can't legally dictate what the seller SELLS the item for, only what they advertise.

Speculation. The 1st run of the SPC UCAs had some welding defects that were all covered under warranty if I remember, but that nothing to do with the caster adjustment. I just installed these on my truck and the point of failures are very low. Only way I can see the adjustable parts break is if I didn't tighten the nut on top of the ball joint to secure it down to the UCA and it somehow came off.

Just ordered a pair from Wheelers. Tried to get on a group buy a few months back, and received one phone call, told them I would be ready to purchase the next week, and never heard back from them.

Not sure yet, might wait till I get my coilovers, or if my alignment tech says I should install them sooner, I'll install them then. So maybe in the next week or so, or in the next 2-3 months.

I know this is an old thread but any chance of getting one of these deals going again? I'm looking to buy some.

What do you like using ? JBA ? Total Chaos ? Living up north need something that can handle winter, salt, road crud.
Arizona is looking really good right now !

I prefer JBA or Icon, both only slightly more expensive, and you don't have to worry about caster adjustment as they have them built in. With SPC, it is adjusted during alignment, if the tech knows how to properly, and you can lose that aliment rather quickly if you off-road. Peace of mind, one less thing to worry about losing on trail if you get UCAs with them designed in. Plus, look at how much the truck cost you.
