Try the Bracketeer. Doesnt hold everything, but if your looking to mount a light or extinguisher, that would be the best bet. I have one myself being used to mount an extinguisher similar to how OP pictured his bracket.

Yeah I looked into that one didn’t care for all the small pieces with the one size fits all...found a one piece design but they all have their benefits and limitations.

There may be plenty of room left to move your feet but that’s not the issue. The issue is that with an extinguisher - or any relatively bulky item - it will always intrude onto the area where your left foot will naturally want to come to rest. At least where mine is 90% of the time tucked back toward the front of the seat. Yes you would have room to move it forward to keep it from contacting the extinguisher, but it would not be resting in it’s sweet spot if that makes sense. Again just my opinion and you did ask. Good luck with your product in any case...

Please don’t take it the wrong way. Not hating, just giving an honest opinion.

    Thanks man!

I did see those on ebay, they look like a nice product but seem a bit limited on what you can do with them.

Agreed, theres not a silver bullet but I'm hoping my product will be a one size fits most.

Thank you, I'm looking for all feedback, positive or negative. I will say that if you biggest concern is not having anywhere to put your left foot, you can mount everything to the right...

I like the front option. I have an access cab with some pelican cases behind the seats and a dog platform above those. So something in the front would be nice. I’m also intrigued with lifting the front of the seat. That might actually make it more comfortable but not actually change the height of the seat like in the rear.

Anyway, depending on final production pieces and cost, I’d be in for one on each side.

If that’s possible it would probably work. I drive with my left foot back so that is my biggest concern

Nice, we'll keep this thread updated as the design progresses.

That seems to be a common concern, we are working on a bracket that doesn't lift the seat. I will post updated when we get it sorted.

Love the idea of having my glock right below the seat in arms reach. If you work something out to where this does not need the risers to work, I would be a buyer!

I bought the risers from EasyDoesit. It has helped with the knee pain and discomfort, but I have not taken the Taco on a long ride yet to see if this was the easiest fix, but so far I am pleased. It was even better to find out that EasyDoesIt and I are in the same area.

Thanks Steve, the risers are a perfect fit and feel rock solid.

Seems like the easy way to make that bracket work without risers is to simply have a tab that bends back at a 90deg angle spaced and a hole drilled to accomodate the bolt holding the seat down. As thick as that aluminum is, it would be sturdy and preclude the need for a separate L bracket and bolts. I assume spacing in the rear is the same, so the same product could be placed from or rear.

We will defiantly have a no-rise bracket.

Great to hear man! Always nice to have locals using the risers.

    :proposetoast:

Thats exactly what we're doing, no need to get over complicated. Yes, the board would work front or rear.

Might be better to design it for the passenger side. Much more safe. Also i'd not want to lift the front of the seat.

I had a chance to meet with Joe again and we've updated the design a bit.

-L brackets so the Accessory Board can be used with no lift.
    -Front AND Rear mounting options.
-When board is mounted in the rear, it will allow full movement of the seat.

And not related but we also worked up simple, user adjustable rear lift blocks.

The end result of the board will be 2-3 keyed pieces and the L brackets will have press fit nut-serts. The end result of the L brackets will be clean up with rounded corners for more finished look. Everything will be powder coated.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? Hate?

Gotta get rid of the sharp 90 degree angles...no sharp corners. The way we use our rigs it’s imperative that you round all corners w no sharp edges so no one gets cut and you don’t get sued.

Too many potential problems for me, plus I use that space for both feet when I'm in cruise control.

The final design will work on driver, passenger, front or rear.

    1403-randywheelbarrowa (1).jpg

Agree 100%, we are working on the functionality now, then we will work on the aesthetics to include rounding corners and/or getting rid of possible snag edges.

Gotcha, yeah if you put both feet back the front mount probably wouldn't work. Rear mount and passenger front could still be an option.

Thanks for the input guys, all very useful.
