To expand on the Seat Jackers/Seat Risers, my buddy Joe at Black Rock Machining and I are working on a prototype that would allow an accessory board to be mounted to the front of the Seat Risers/Seat Jackers.

This would give you a solid place to mount all sorts of good stuff like Flashlights, Fire Extinguishers, Handguns, Axes, Knives, CB/Ham Radio, etc etc. We used Quick Fist Mounts, Maglite Mounts, and earth magnets in the prototype and would likely have those standard hole patterns drilled. Because the boards would be aluminum, anyone with a drill could easily drill their own patterns.

The initial prototype is rough but it gives you an idea of what we’re going for. We are working on a 2nd prototype that will be more aesthetically pleasing and made from 3 separate pieces that bolt together like tongue and groove flooring.

These could be powder coated black or any color to match your trim package

Moving forward, all Seat Jackers/Seat Risers will be manufactured with the front threaded holes to allow the future modular accessory board to be installed. For the early adopters who want an accessory board, we will work with you to return your Seat Risers for drilling/tapping.

If there is interest, they wouldn’t be available until September/October but I wanted to get the feeler out.

Any and all input is welcome.

    Thanks,
    Steve

This is just a prototype, we are working to refine the design and make it look a little slicker.

I would be interested depending on the price when you get everything figured out.

Right on. We are thinking south of $40, hopefully closer to $30 but hard to say until we get a final prototype.

EDIT 11/25 - We will not be able to keep them under $40. The final cost will be closer to $100 than $40.

The same shit everyone else has.
Neat. Maybe angle the brackets back so they’re closer to the seat bottoms?

We could do that but would need to be mindful of the seat lever.

For sure, we are going to work on the aesthetics of it.

Thanks, hopefully have a revised prototype in 2-3 weeks.

Any more thoughts on function or front vs rear boards?

Or anything else ya'll can think about mounting to these accessory boards?

How about an option for LED lights for footwell lighting?

I’m not personally into this idea but maybe make a mole grid system for those that are.

Absolutely. I've thought about adding an option to route a micro usb cable for a rechargeable flashlight or cb radio but I hadn't thought about footwell lights, that could totally be done.

I had to search that term but thats kinda what we're thinking but more so planned around common brackets/mounts and allowing for folks to drill there own holes for uncommon mounts.

    Thanks for the great feedback.

Check out Grayman Tactical for their grid pattern to give you an idea, it would allow the end user to still be able to drill and mount whatever they would like.

I had a chance to meet with Joe again and we've updated the design a bit.

-L brackets so the Accessory Board can be used with no lift.
    -Front AND Rear mounting options.
-When board is mounted in the rear, it will allow full movement of the seat.

And not related but we also worked up simple, user adjustable rear lift blocks.

The end result of the board will be 2-3 keyed pieces and the L brackets will have press fit nut-serts. The end result of the L brackets will be clean up with rounded corners for more finished look. Everything will be powder coated.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? Hate?

Is there room to run one front as well as rear? And still have room to slide the seat all the way?

I would definitely be interested in the $30-40 range.

    Edges rounded
I would also think about doing some sort of cut out in the middle to allow holding the adjustment lever and not pinching off your fingers when you move forward all of the way. Or maybe even break an angle at the top about 1/3 of the way down to prevent it all together. I would also consider slotting the mounting holes to allow adjust-ability of height.

Remember this is brainstorming so you can openly mock my ideas. LOL
