So after meeting some of you guys, and gals, at Slick Rock this weekend (even though I didn’t wheel) I must say that I had an amazing time. Meeting up with a bunch of strangers from the Internet for the most part turned out to be a really good time. However, I wouldn’t recommend it.

In fact, I had such a good time that I was thinking it would be a fun time to host a Northern CA meet and greet. No wrenching, just some good old fashioned drinking, BBQing and talking shit. If you cant handle shit talking or your feelings being hurt we don’t want you here, really. Move along.

I’m willing to smoke something delicious in meat form, as well as BBQ. Additionally, there will be plumes of smoke in other forms.

I don’t have the biggest of homes, so if you can’t stand bring a chair. I also have two dogs, one of which is a complete asshole so if you’re not a dog person need not apply.

At this household we believe in two things:

    Drink and be merry

Don’t wear your feelings on your sleeve

Unacceptable amounts of cold frosty brew will be consumed, so if you need a place to lay your head I can most likely get corporate rates at the Hilton in Concord (which is where I’m located).

I’d like to give back to the community that so graciously accepted me. This is just a feeler, if I have enough people to partake I will set up a definite date. I think a Friday would work best as I would need to start the smoker about noon. Anyone who is off around 5 would make it in perfect time. Anyone else could come around 1 and get sauced with me.

I’m thinking beginning of August, let me know your thoughts.

I work in Santa Clara County and have a pretty good working relationship with our Parks and Recreation department, I can check in to see if there's a large area where we can all meet up together and have a BBQ.

But if you guys are down, usually there's good group camping at Mt Madonna or Coyote Lake, and I can talk to the parks staff to see if we can reserve something for a weekend after Labor day when reservations are a little less crazy.

I'm in. The beginning of August is all open of me.
Anyone want to split a hotel room (I'm pretty cheap)? I'd be coming from the South Bay so I'd rather just stay up there.
