FEELER: Possible DSM UCA Group Buy

Looking forward to getting new UCA's. I was only going to buy shocks to improve the ride on my 3" toytec lift but it's probably the UCA's and not my shocks. I was going to upgrade my shocks to OME but then I'm thinking maybe I should buy the UCA's and all 4 shocks and get it all done at the same time. What do you guys think? I'm looking at about $1,000+ including labor and alignment. Decisions decisions. Uggghh

P.S. my steering wheel seems to get away from me over bumps in the road, even small ones where the road has ruts due to heavy traffic. Will this help improve that? I miss the stock factory ride.

 

I agree I lifted my truck with aluminum spacers (temporary)till I can afford a proper lift. I went to get my truck aligned and the casterwas way off. So I did some research and found that you need aftermarket UCA'sto get proper alignment for caster. I you run stock arms with a lift it willeventually break the ball joint on the stock UCA (OUCH). I had a lifted S10that I broke 2 sets of upper ball joints on; not fun. With a uniball you won’thave to worry about that. I am not sure If UCA's will improve ride characteristicsbut it will make the truck more predictable and may improve the bump steer youare having with a proper alignment IMO.

 

Any word from DSM about when we are going to get started with this?

has anyone seen a comparison of these ucas versus camburg and tc?

i'm digging through what i can, but my free time on the computer is limited to a couple minutes here and there....

I just spoke to Marco at DSM. He will have 10 sets ready to ship on FEB.1st. Any other members that want a set after that will have to wait till the next fabrication date.

Place the UCAs in their cart, and submit the order. In the year, make & model section, they need to include "Group Buy" and your TW user name. They will verify that they were on the GB list, and change the price to $515.

Once they have received the full 10 orders through their site, they can process all payments and ship of the arms, as soon as 1st week of Feb.

They accept PayPal, but will need to charge a $10 fee to cover PayPal fees. At $515 shipped, we can't absorb any more of the costs. You can send $525 to downsouthmotorsports@gmail.com, and we will take it from there. Credit card will be no additional charge. They will charge you only when the arms ship.

First come first serve basis. Members that pay that are on the GB list will get priority over other members as far as getting the first 10 sets of arms.

do they use FK or auroa uniballs?

 

I am not sure, that would be a question for DSM?

My alignment got done today and they were able to get it pretty close to where it needed to be with the stock UCA's.

I am going to pass this time around.

Plus, I just threw down almost 3K on tires, shocks, and new gears.

Yep, we have to submit payment before the 31st at midnight PST. All the of the packages will ship and be charged once we get 10 payments submitted.
