my wife is gone for the weekend i'm going to spend a few hours today making some videos of the truck and uploading them to youtube. i'll post them up in here it should only help to sell the truck hopefully.

haha i know man i'm trying to sell it all together it was a pita to get everything set just right.

i have tried a ton of projectors out including the tl the ls460 the mini h1 the mini d2s and the fx-r and modded right and pushed at high wattages the fx-r is the shit it just gets so much color in the cutoff with out negatively effecting the beam in anyway its silly. i'm going to find a building tonight perferably something white in color to really show the cutoff.

unfortunately the video camera doesn't do the lights much justice they are much much brighter in person. 8 lanes across is something you have to see for yourself on a dark road lol.

stay on the look out i'm going to make some more vids today and tonight.

mine looks just like it came from the factory the air box is right on the inner fender which is nice unlike the v6 there is no need for a piece of improvised tube to go the air box.

i'll take a pic of the engine bay and post it in the op tomorrow. there maybe a few pics in the snorkel installation thread i think boyd had snapped a few pictures of the engine bay.

 

i didn't notice anything performance related what so ever with mine. the only benefit of having a snorkel imo is keeping your engine from aspirating large amounts of water and keeping dust to a minimum.

the thinking behind the snorkel for me at least was more way to protect the truck its one of those things that could seriously save your ass one time.

most guys that wheel at least around my way with 3 inch lifts end up getting shiz in the air box and they get scared enough to cut a hole in their fender lol.

 

i have a dealer in north east phila that wants me to drop it off on consignment. also the auto trader listing just went up so thats going to a lot of different websites kbb, auto trader, msn auto's etc.

so things are looking up lol i'm taking bjmooses advice and taking my time with it eventually someone will come along and realize what it has going on and hopefully buy it from me.

 

basically this guy has a store but, he has no inventory that he has money tied up in. he takes a 500 dollar fee add to that 750 for a spot on his showroom floor for 60 days and he advertises, gets the car fax etc.

he sells the truck for more than what i'm asking but, he sells it non the less. from what i understood he has financing lined up and ships cars and trucks all over the world. so its a one stop shop for cherry picked auto's that he finds on the internet and thinks he can move quickly at his store.

he insures the test drives but, i'm asked to keep the insurance on the vehicle for anything else. he promises to not test drive the truck for every douche that comes in unless they are approved and credit is run.

it sounds legit but, i'm going to wait on that for awhile and see what the auto traer add brings up to the surface. i literally just posted that add today and the dealer states that all advertising has to be closed down prior to being doped off as they do their own ad work. the auto trader add ran me about 160 bucks so to cancel it right off the bat seems kind of silly to me.

what do you think i should do?

 

lol back in the day you could do this in new jersey but, anymore there are laws and such that prevent such activities.

this guy is in pa. so idk either it sounds like a good deal i get my asking price he sells it handles financing and does the title work for the new buyer. once i'm paid and toyota is satisfied i'm out.

thats what i was figuring the auto trader listing is a premium listing and runs for 365 days so i don't want to kill it right after i put it up. if it doesn't sell or generate some serious offers in month or so i'll send it over to this guys store.

 

yep - patience is key. The guy who's running the consignment shop, assuming it's legit (such places do exist, but it also pays to be a little cautious) also wins by playing the waiting game. You could ask him what the average turn-over time of cars he runs is, and what percentage don't sell and return back to the owner.

yeah we got him to email us so we have everything in writing. as far as the dealership itself it seems legit to me i'm going to give it a month or so on the auto trader and if it doesn't sell then i'll send it over to the guy.

i'll link the guys site up in case there are any other guys around my way interested in going this route. and if i do decide to use his services i'll be sure and post up a review of the experience.

i bet she is a sweetie my dane is so sensitive! me and the wife call him commander needy cause he is always up in our faces lol he is so very gentle. i really do think they are just special dogs if you ever need advice or anything at all really let me know man i would absolutely lend a hand.

i wish that little baby all the love in the world she sure deserves it. oh and btw make sure and find out who her previous owner is so i can make him bite the curb

 

you got it buddy treat her good and she will be your best friend merlin fortunately never had anything traumatic happen to him but, he is still skittish of loud noises and stuff. people think cause these dogs get so big they are tough but, in reality they are very sensitive and only tend to get aggressive towards people coming into your personal space.

your girl friend wife kids etc will be well protected as these dogs are super protective more so than most. funny though they make terrible guard dogs cause they sleep constantly lol.

she is beautiful man and i'm sure she will latch onto you 100%
