If you can the motor assembly portion to be smaller and the price was kept around $75 I'd be interested.

The way I designed them requires the motor to turn in order for the windows to open. Think just like a van vent window. Designing them to open both manually and via power would be a lot trickier.

The motor I am testing at the moment is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D838WX8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It is about 1" in diameter and much smaller than the ones pictured.

I definitely hope to keep the cost below $75 for the pair with wiring etc.

I think he was talking about about the rear sliding window. I haven't done anything with that. It would be pretty hard since there are two pieces of glass that slide apart from the center. It would be easier to use one piece and slide it in one direction, but I don't know if it's even worth it. Every time I open my rear slider is to put something through it so I would have to be reaching back there anyway.

Not sure if it's worth anything to you, but 01-04 rear sliding windows are a one piece construction. Not two like previous years. That would be a lot easier to work with.

cool, would do, but i wouldn't drop more than $50 for a kit for both, but wiring to hide wiring would likely be a chore so i'd focus more on that then the product imo

Pretty Sweet mod! Id be in honestly. I use my vents often and I hate trying to reach the driverside one while sitting. Take pre orders (Where they give you the cash up front or 50% or whatever).

Very interesting concept. However, I couldn't tell you the last time I opened those windows.

Maybe because it was inconvenient. Maybe you'd open them a lot more if they were powered.

I might buy em depending on the price, great idea though, never would've thought about something like this. I do think the motors should be smaller like others have said or have it flow aesthetically more, Otherwise would be a cool product.

Yeah for a pair. What type of switch are you designing this to go with is it a momentary button switch were a press extends it all the way out? Is it DPDT for switching polarities to get the motor to twist in and out?

I installed a 4 door master switch in my extended cab and used the two rear door window switches to to power the vents. The motors are designed to stall and hit a limiting block in the linkage once the windows are fully open or fully closed. The window circuit is a 30amp circuit and can easily handle the motors stalling. This is actually how the front windows sense auto up/down.

Also, I haven't had much time to work on this since Tallahassee was directly hit by hurricane Hermine last Thursday night. I still do not have power along with roughly 30,000 other people in tallahassee.

Wow -- very creative OP. Especially like the clean look of the 4 door master switch. I don't own an AC, but would certainly do this mod if I did.
