I'm signed up for the 101 class on May 9th (never been wheeling before...just got my truck a month or so ago) and I'll have my suspension, bumper/winch, and skids installed by Easter.

I'd be down to check this place out but as I said - Zero experience. I've raced dirtbikes for years but from what I've gathered New England wheeling is more about going slow and proper wheel placement whereas dirtbikes ride better when going faster.

Any locations in New England I could checkout before I do this 101 class at Rousch? I ride my dirbike in Winchendon, MA a lot so I was going to head there as soon as the snow melts.

Check out the NE BS thread and the NE wheeling trips thread. There is actually s place in winchendon iirc, not sure what it's like in the summer, I've only ever been in the winter. There's a spot in ri on the ri/ct border that is stock friendly and the NE guys go to pretty frequently.

You don't need skids for Rausch, just depends on what trails you want to run

Def is nice to have. I just realized I ran 23 last time still on my stock skids. I will feel much better with my skid row on.

Sub'do, I should be able to make it.

    Definitely!

Depends on how cold it is.lol. I was pretty ok with not being with the group last time when it was about 10'degrees out and I was in my heated cabin at the campground. :D

I have also been looking at taking the 101 course. Even though I have wheeled for years, and done Rausch four times now, I still feel I have a lot to learn. Especially interested in learning more about off-camber. Most who have wheeled with me will tell you that's my big fear. The rest doesn't reaally bother me.

Better to leave them on so they can protect the underside. Skids are a lot cheaper than an oil pan
