There's guys I work with that went to RN school, finished worked In surgery and realized they didn't want to do It anymore. So they came out to the boats. Ur right u don't need it to work out here, but it def won't hurt ur future. My boss worked on boats 20 yrs then got his degree and then took an office job so he could go home everynight, but he had to get his bs even tho he had 20 yrs out here running boats and crew members. Thas just how I see It. Plus thats the only thing I started that I haven't yet finished, and I wish I did.

we tie off the boat between milan st wharf and first st. across from the harney canal, or across from the gretna ferry. i have a pic of my boat on my profile, and if urr looking for us from the levee, i have a huge M on the stack. i dont go down to davant to often, usually just to bellechase anchorge, or bp allience is all. and up to norco if we have a ship that requests us or if theres a tractor tug requirment at the dock.

what do you down in the coal hole, if u dont mind me asking?
