I think I am missing something here. I did a search for "shok mat", "shok mat sound" and "shok mat sound deadening" and neither the Shok Mat Industries site or any distributors shows up in the search. I don't know how to compare the price in the GB to see what kind of deal we are getting. Does anyone know who distributes this?
    Thanks,
    Ken

Sure lets say 11am mountain time the post will be made
As for people wanting to know what the " discount " is
I'm not sure, all I know is its one hell of a price especially since it's also shipped. I'm not sure how much the shipping portion is thus I cannot speculate the " price saved"

115$ shipped for high quality 70 mill deadner is such a great deal their only willing to do 20 at that price I will do my best and try open up a few more.
Let's put it this way: map is $220 and RRp is $319

Find car audio forums and you will find the product being used. Shok industry with many of its products are used in many world class audio
    Rides etc.

Reason I'm not using this thread:
    I'd like to
Provide everyone enough notice and = chance.
    11am mountain time on Monday

It just has to do with my personal experiences. I've bought products that were little known and/or web results garnered little useful consumer information and I still had excellent customer experiences. However, I commend you for being a smart consumer and insisting on settling your uncertainty by seeking out product information ahead of time.

Also as a side note, on the dealer page, you'll notice there's only about 12 dealers, and none of them have websites...thus the lack of results from a web search looking for dealers/distributors. They can only appear in search engines if they have a site to go to. I know it's hard to believe in this day and age but, not everyone has a website

For reference, a good idea is to compare against a well known competitor such as Dynamat.

On Amazon, a 36 Sqft pack of Dynamat Extreme sells for $138.86 NOT including tax and shipping.
OP's Proposed price: $115 shipped per 40sq pack

Also you can compare product specs such as these:

    Shok Mat
Material: Butyl Compound ( custom mix specified)
    Mat thickness: 1.85mm
    Foil Thickness: 0.1mm

    Dynamat Extreme
Material: Black butyl based core with 4 mil aluminum constrain layer, craft paper release liner
    Thickness: 0.067" (1.7mm)
    Mass: 0.45lb./ft2 (2.20kg/m2)

Now all you need to do is go search forums for people's experience with Shok Mat and I think you'll have a pretty good idea of where this product stands. Good luck with the internets.

I posted the vids for a reason, to hear the difference.
I can upload more! Shok stands for only the top notch quality products!
I wouldn't bring forth some crappy product, but hey I'm not well known on here ether so I understand.

All I can do is upload vids and pics.
Ps-2 main reason I did this group buy:
Their not well known in the off road market thus this is why I saw potential opportunity to get you guys the product this damn cheap. That is the only reason. If ur skeptical, np, don't buy and leave a spot for those that want to take advantage and once they tell everyone how
Much they love it buy it at regular price:)

Gotcha. I like the idea of people sharing their personal experience with vendors and posting the results, that is one of the most important purposes of the forums. Like you said, I just wanted to research and see what the regular pricing is to decide whether to jump on the deal or hold off. I guess I figured that if it was a popular product amongst installers/end users there would have been SOME results to the search.
When you said that none of the dealers listed have web sites, that is what sent off some red flags for me. Again, if it were a popular product or even a VERY well made newbie I would expect to find some posts somewhere indicating as such. Also seems odd that none of the distributors have web sites.
This may be the best sound dampener made, I don't know, that is why I am asking the questions. Again, I am just trying to do some research before spending the $$.
BTW I did this on my '08 Tundra using Dynamat Extreme, DynaPad and Dynaliner and it did make a BIG difference. After all was said and done the noisiest thing in my truck (besides the exhaust drone) was wind noise. It definitely makes for a quieter ride.
