here are some of the dimensions i am looking at

very top width = 66 cm
just below it = 74 cm
    bottom width = 89.5 cm
    curved height = 31 cm

didn't get the hypotenuse, cause to be more accurate, gotta take the skid off, which i prob will in a month

Thanks! I'm staring to get it on the computer better, This was my first idea/concept. I have another idea of monster teeth holding the tacoma lettering. Any more ideas?

Not to rain on this parade, but plating that section differently isn't going to do a thing for protection. It's just thicker metal to have shoved up into your lower valence in the event of impact.

All these bullbars suffer from extremely weak mounting methods.

I know they arent't worth a S**T when it comes to serious protection.... They should really be called "brush guards.

I just know that some people love the look of them and I want to offer them something for the asthetic value to match their truck better.

    that actually looks really good

yea, i def agree with you, i think the idea is to just give it a unique look, rather than protection

Get a move on. I'm sure you'll get a lot of interest once you get a couple plates cut and installed.

I really like that one that you are going to put on your truck. Unfortunately, I don't have a bull bar.

Good to know! I just wanted to make a touch of the stock logo but more aggressive (also didn't want to deal with copyright issues of it being exactly same).

And I hope it will take off like I hope, even for other designs and trucks... and pay for school and tools lol

This thread is actually a good find for me. I have a Aries 3" bull bar and recently had it dented in a little while driving on the highway. Some construction guy pulling a trailer didn't tie down his stuff and a box ended up falling on the highway. Luckily I had my bull bar on and it hit the plate instead of my bumper. I'm a stickler for perfection, as most TW members are when it comes to their trucks, so tried to pound out the dents which helped it some but I want it the way it came from the factory.. I called aries to see if they sold the skid plates separately but they said no and I was unable to fine any online either. Wouldn't mind being a test subject to get your product known if the skid plates don't cost too much. I'm liking the black tacoma or trd design you got, since I have a white truck and like the black look better then the chrome. Good idea man, keep it up.

I was going to have one cut out this week, but I had to last minute house sit for family that live 45miles away. Believe me, I have been chomping at the bit to start. withing a few weeks I should have mine done even if I miss on sleep.

I have to figure out the price on steel, my hours, and finish. Chrome being the most expensive.
