How many of you guys running the intake spacer have matched it up with a header, particularly the LCE header? From reading I’ve done they seem to be quite the pair but I’m curious about real world experience.

You certainly can have them 3D printed. I'm not sure it would be cheaper than machining it, but https://www.stratasysdirect.com/ should have a 3D printable material that can handle all of those things.

Be my guest and contact them, make the payment on getting 100 spacers 3d printed by a company that NASA regularly uses, then try to sell them. I can assure you nobody wants a $1200 intake spacer dude

No reason to get snippy. I was just informing you that there are 3D printable materials that would handle all the conditions you gave as reasons for not 3D printing it. I'm pretty sure I also said that I wasn't sure it would be cheaper than machining it.

Intake not so much but headers wake it up for sure. Less downshifting uphill is the biggest thing I noticed plus gives it a thraoty v6 sound almost. Sounds really good for a 4 popper & not ricey. Overall very pleased w/ how it performs.

His prototype was aluminum. The units sold we're plastic.

i’m interested also. I have 05 2.7L 5 speed and looking for more horse power. I already have a coolant cold air intake and would want one of @tooter ‘s spacers, im wiling to put a deposit to start the build. Is there any other things I can do to add more horse power?

Sadly, other than turbo or supercharging the engine, not much can be done horsepower wise. About all you can do is modify the path air and exhaust take to bring peak torque in at lower rpms to make it more driveable. Look into LCE header, coupled to a flowmaster super 50 muffler, with 2.25" tail pipe.

Like mentioned, the LCE header makes a noticeable difference. I have that along with a URD short shifter (less time between shifts to lose speed), and the Injen intake. It's no racer by any means, but it does what I need it to. The intake manifold spacer is not going to "gain" you any real power, but it will lower it in the rpm range. There is a small jump on the Dyno chart posted by tooter. For me personally, that will give me a little more useable power for the rpm's I drive at. I am currently working with a local machine shop on re-creating the spacers, and will hopefully have some info soon.

You guys running the LCE header, what size tires are you running? I’ve heard a few people say with larger tires you don’t notice much of a difference

265/75r16 with Method NV's. The new wheel/tire combo is only about 1-2lbs heavier than the stock combo, so I was still able to notice a change. I think the larger tires are noticeable on the highway though.

On a side note...did (my) 1st oil change this weekend and noticed a decent performance gain afterwards. Mobile 1 fuel efficient 0w20. Not sure what the dealer put in it, but I'm sure it wasn't synthetic.

Thanks guys. I really want to pull the trigger on the header but $450 beans is a hard pill to swallow for something that is slightly noticeable. Maybe I’ll wait until the intake spacer is available and do both at the same time for a larger result.
