FEELER: tooter II.VII 2 inch thick intake manifold spacers

Yeah there is no list, looks like Tooter is done doing anything with these. Bummer.

 

Has anybody picked up on this idea or has one for sale?

 

Interested if your still making them or have extras.

 

Since it seem this thread is dead, I purchased a plastic Volant Vortice Throttle Body spacer. Mistakenly order it for the 4.0 instead of my 4 cylinder 2.7L. Then found out no one makes it for the 4 cylinder. So with the plastic spacer I had mistakenly order. To get it to fit I ended up enlarging the 4 mounting holes to 3/8 of an inch and used a rat tail file a little. Since the throttle body leans towards the left, the 3 mounting holes for the air plenum won't line up to bolt it to the valve cover. Engine runs smoother, but very little as far as any performance. At least the dam thing doesn't whistle!

 

Gotcha. I ordered that Volant Ram Air intake yesterday so we'll see how that goes.

 

Would you be able to post or sell the CAD file for this part? I understand that you are not making any more but I would like to make one myself.

 

I had a PM conversation with Greg. He's not going to do that and the place that made the tooter for him no longer does it. He's got other projects he's working on that is not car related.

Best suggestion I have is we make a list of how many folks would buy it....if we can get 10 or more perhaps he's willing to make one special run... for a group buy... perhaps that would get Greg to consider making it for us. Greg still checks the forums...nice gentleman.

 

If this ever happens, I would be interested. (won't hold my breath)

I'm most definatly interested also! Looks like a great add-on.

 

I had conversation with Tooter... he's busy with other projects, but if we put a list that is big enough...it might convince him...otherwise... best option is make one yourselves if you know the thickness of the original Tooter made.

So far there's 4 or 5 that say they want it...but who is willing to put deposit and seriously buy and Tooter needs to find a new CNC place he trust...so few things have to come together for it to happen. I think if there's a list of 15+, then it might entice him...I'm just speculating, since I don't know him...but generally group buys of 15+ usually gains traction.

 

Here's how it'll go.....you'll have all kind of extra goodies floating around in the box with the filter like bugs, leaves, cig butts, dirt & small pieces of paper. I loved it...for about 2 weeks then took it off and sold it. It did nothing for sound, performance or mpg on the 4 cyl. mine breathes thru the fender well just fine without all the trash in the filter box.

 

I'm interested.

Already have headers, but you missed the tooter thread where he shows both headers and his manifold spacer. The point is to get more torque at the bottom end.
