I think that is a great idea if you could bring the price down with pieces like these. Also I feel like the market would open up a lot more because of it. Do you think you will do front templates as well? Or is there too much variation between all the years and customization? Might get a few more people from that if it wouldn't be too much work.

Great work by the way! I wish I could paint, it is such a beautiful type of artistry.

Thanks for commenting! You think I should go down from $80? I'm thinking if I could get them made into prints I can get the price way down. I'm thinking I can do some of the popular colors first.
As for the front views in order to make them cost effective I need to be able to paint them in a reasonable amount of time. The side views showing more tire and surface area is where the time comes into play. I do think that fronts will be coming soon.
From a buyers perspective what do you think people would want to pay for original art? This has been my biggest struggle.

No, $80 is a good price. I was just saying that a price drop by doing prints would be great. So with prints and popular colors would you leave the tires, bumper, flares, etc. blank for customization of those pieces to happen? I do think that prints with popular colors would be cost and time effective.

Fronts may have more of an open market just because people identify with the front more is what I am thinking. But with fronts there are so many styles and different mods that may not make it time and cost effective since a print would probably only consist of a hood, windows, headlight housings and lots of blank space because of all the different fronts. Especially with hoops and stingers on the fronts that would mess with an original prints lines.

And from a buyers standpoint for custom pieces, I think you are doing it right. If I had the money for one and if I was more of enthusiast of my truck I would definitely get one or had a cool shop to put it in. I just think it is a hard market! People would rather buy a part for their truck than a painting. Not the everyday person would buy one of these (especially those who are still modding) but I would say the bigger players on here that are done modding their truck would.

Overall, I guess just the right buyer needs to come along.

If you don't want to do the Front, Maybe a little more of the Side of the Truck? If you did mine could you do the Camo along the Bottom?

Haha, if you buy it I'll paint it! I'd be looking at a custom painting from the side as mentioned above. If you're interested I'll paint just about anything.

This is great feedback thank you. I figured when I was starting on all this that my market was narrow. In the back of my head I was thinking many people would be more nastalgic about trucks/cars they had and it might attract those buyers as well as the guys who are pretty much done with the major mods.
I guess I just need to get more out there to show people options and possibilities.

I was kidding but it did give me an idea. I could paint a sandwich into the reflection on the bumper.

That could definitely be done, if it were a little bigger. I could also paint ketchup bottles and bacon on the roof
