    285/75R16 Wildpeak M/T tires w 3” spacer lift.
    Howdy,
Recently installed new 285’s on my 2015 TRD off-road and love the look. I needed some clearance so I added a 3” spacer lift In the front and 2” in the back. I knew that this would make the ride stiffer but I didn’t think it would be that bad! I roll over a pebble and get whiplash. Feels like I have steel rods as suspension... Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit. I had heard OME suspension coils could add some lift and potentially make my ride smoother. Don’t want to do a full suspension swap bc I’m balling on a budget. I have the stock bilstein suspension that comes w the off-road package. Even considered removing my sway bar to add some flex but I do enjoy the occasional Tokyo drift and don’t want to flip the old gal. Any ideas??

What load rating are your tires, and what PSI are you running? that will have a major impact on feeling all the little cracks and bumps in the road

Just for comparison sake - I have a 2020 Sport with Bilstein 5100's front and rear - But running stock Coil Springs up front with the Bilstein's set to the top notch. The ride isn't horrible, but feels stiff at times. I am thinking about swapping the Stock Coils for a pair of the OME 887's so the Coils are what provides the lift, instead of pre-loading the factory coils. I would imagine that would give me a better and smoother ride.

take off the E rated muddin' tires for your trips to the mall? For serious, though, probably the tires are the reason. The E-load rated 10 ply monsters you have on there are not suitable for on-road use if anything but off-road performance is what you want. Spacers, while useless for anything but lifting your wheel wells, wouldn't change the harshness of the ride.

The E rated 265/75/16 tires on my Tacoma ride just as good as the P rated tires they replaced. Of course I don't have an aggressive mud tread and I keep about 30 PSI in the tires. The ride home from the tire store was bone jarring with the 50 PSI they put in them. But once down to a reasonable level they are fine.
