Feels like engine misfire

    My 2017 did the same thing pulling a hill here in town the first day I bought it
    (a few weeks ago).

    Now I give it a little more gas to get the RPMs up before the hill, seems to be good.

    IMO
    It seems like Lower engine speeds and the higher transmission gear the transmission seems to want to hold the gear longer before down shifting... as a result it feels like the engine is lugging before it will downshift.


    I drove a 2020 for a few days, the transmission seems to have a better sense and will down shift before the stutter / lugging happens.


    I am curious if the dealerships are going be able to perform a software update to smooth things out.
